I know there's a 10 letters limit but can you use space in the guild name like let's say... "Mega Edge" instead of all in 1 word?
And about emblem, does it work like RO1 and you have to create a folder?

According to the wiki it cost 20 gold to make a clan. I am a new player and I don't think I have that much gold.

20 gold is nothing in this game. Be glad it doesn't cost an Emperium like it does in Ragnarok Online 1. Then again, as it is now, 1 million zeny isn't alot either.

I think you can have spaces, most guilds probably don't use the space because of the 10 letter limit... the space eats up a letter.

Put the emblem into the Guild folder, it has to be named mark.bmp and 32x32. Then ingame you'll be able to select it.
