Dear greatswords lovers,

Did someone have the idea of HOW the damages are calculated?
I mean, how it is possible to make a 3K+ crit, and only ~300 sometimes... The difference is huge...
And making 300 is a real pain in the @$$ (like a MISS).

Bonus Q.: My RS deals really often 666 dmg... Am I the Devil's host?

Attackpowe x 0.9, then take in account reductions obviusly you will not always hit the same specially with things like parry(-50% dmg after reductions)

in reality, thats just the number you notice most often, it really doesn't do that much dmg all that often. its just the same if you see 1337, just the number that pops out to your eyes cause you recognize the number

Well if you're hitting 666 a lot, then it makes sense that 300 is what you get when it's parried. Can't figure out how you're getting 3k crits unless you were in Colosseum.

Hit 2k8, but I'm not 50 nor full STR nor best geared, so 3k is "easily" possible. Never been in Colosseum atm.

Then that means your normal damage would be around 1.4k. Dunno your build and gear, but it could be possible on dungeon monsters and you've got Berserk (and Aura Sword if you're DPS) activated. Rage Strike itself is very straightforward -- just 90% of your attack power.

You could at least give us your basic stats or a SS of your character window though, if it really bothers you.

Yes, it possible for DD focused swords crit above 3k when not hit even 50 lvl.
I'm in sandstorm dungeon hit sometimes Shield Cannon with 3 critical hits in row for total over 3k. I have ~1.5k ATK. Thanks to my battle tactics. Then Warrior with luck can hit it more easy, because more base atk from weapon.

i have hitted 3k crits with my warrior and he is just doing RHD right now lol...(138 int with battle tactics )

1200 normal *2.55 = 3060

cant wait for my colloseum set or at least just weap(dat 515 extra atk)

The question here is not whether 3k is possible to do, but the discrepancy between a 300 normal VS 3k+ crit damage (~1500 normal) hit.

Without the OP posting his build, Attack Power, monsters targeted and the buffs involved, we can't figure out the problem.

Rage Strike 90%ATK
PArry reduction -50%DMG
Critical Bonus +100%DMG+Battle_Tactics
Monsters have their own defense rate.
Just do math and enjoy.
