I am playing an Archer now and planning on going into Beast Master.
I chose the Blacksmith profession, which only crafts Swordsman armor (and all classes' weapons of course).
Is this a bad idea? Should I start over?
P.S. I already got an Alchemist Priest, Artisan Sorcerer, Chef Knight, that's why I went with Blacksmith >_<

Technically, you don't actually even need to use any of the classes at all.
Though, you can use the professions on the other characters to help the new character.
Need a spear? Make one.
Need new armor? Switch to the artisan.
Food? Switch to chef.
Potions? Switch to alchemist.
It's better to have your characters complement each other than it is for every character to be completely independent, and with that in mind, I think blacksmith is a good choice.

Not really, if you're good about doing the dungeons, the dungeon gear will almost always outclass anything you can make, except for end-game, and at end-game, when it comes to gearing a single character, it would be better to sell the recipes and buy the gear you need for a warr/knight than try to forge it yourself a lot of the time.
Basically, as long as you don't mind playing alts, it's best to have one of each profession, regardless of which character is which. I'd personally rather have gone alchemist on my knight to have immediate access to potions, because outfitting myself in epics which I make myself is just prohibitively expensive in pretty much any case.
Just because it "seems to match the class" or "a lot of people" are doing it, doesn't mean it's necessarily the best thing to do. All of your gear that's any good is going to come from dungeons anyway, until you're well into level 50, at which point it becomes raiding and benefiting from raiders who already have the recipes.

One advantage to being a smith on your beastmaster is you run slightly faster in tiger form (or a lot faster if you level it) and you can gather in it. So farming takes slightly less time.
I went alchemist on my beastmaster which has the same advantage, and actually use an assassin for smithing. Turns out I hate the whole thief class and don't mean to level him further so I just made him go really fast in hiding (160%) so it's exceedingly easy to farm the ores.
