Hey,

I have the feeling (from personal experience and form watching AH prices) that boxes drop about 50% more often than mallets. Is this intentionally?

I was lvling my lv 13 Swordy to lv 15 during this hour and found 5 Mallets and only 1 Pandora's Box... I heard from others too that the boxes have a higher chance, but I can't confirm it, since I only found one single box in this hour but 5 hammers. "

Haha that's odd. I attended two happy hours with my wife (no pun intended) and we got 27 boxes and 18 mallets yesterday and 25 boxes and 17 mallets today.

I got 30 mallets, 26 boxes one run, but the other two runs more like 3:2 boxes to mallets, doesn't make much difference though, drop rate is plenty high on both to get decent items out of them.

I've only gotten 2 pandora boxes from the drops but I didn't get any mallets to open them >.<

I had twice as many mallets as boxes yesterday. D: I think it's more luck than anything.

I got 21 mallets, 15 boxes that run, the key is that they drop from anything within 5 levels, and there's no variance in the drop rate based on level, so you're best off killing something as low as possible.

It also helps to be a mid level DPS priest, DoT, DoT, DoT, Dot, death, death, death, death, death, mallet, mallet, mallet, box, mallet, grinding was never as fun as these Happy Hours.

After blowing through something like 100 boxes/mallets, I've gotten accessory, earring, necklace, and weapon on 2 chars, and just earring and accessory on a 3rd, all the rest that's come out of it is other class equips. something like 10-15/100 box pulls useful to my class.

I have yet to get blue weapon on the actual class of any of my chars yet... T_T though I've gotten a few blue weapons for other classes.

Good to hear that some got more mallets than boxes! Thought about buying mallets but they cost 18z minimum. I'll keep track of my drop and see if the distribution changes!

Mallets will drop in price for every passing happy hour. They should drop below 10z, given some more days.
They usually drop to a minimum during the hour after the event hour, and then rise again until the next event hour starts.

Oh, and I always found more mallets than boxes during the hour.

Alright then I can put my mind at rest. Though it's strange that boxes sell for so much less than mallets (4z vs 18z IIRC).

Yeah also got 16 boxes and 23 mallets today. I guess boxes are cheaper because they waste much more space in the inventory. I guess drop rates are the same, case closed.

I farm the pandora HHs frequently and can say, the droprate between the boxes and mallets is quite balanced. I usually have around the same amount of both, + - 2.

On what enemies? Low level farmables like poring?
