Hi, all.

We want to keep you informed of what happened, what we are doing, and what we plan on doing.

First, yesterday a lot of popular items and items from the Kafra Shop were bought out in large quantities very quickly by a few accounts. These accounts were sitting on enough zeny to pull this off because they were apart of several accounts currently involved in zeny selling and account buying. Our GMs began removing their accounts at the end of last week, and had removed 20 million zeny that they had been stockpiling. The accounts then used the zeny they had moved around to inflate the prices on the Auction House by buying up items and selling them. Since they were sitting on so much zeny, players who were playing legitimately participated by listing their items for hundreds of zeny, and these illegitimate accounts were buying them up.

We have taken care of the accounts responsible for hijacking the Auction House prices and raising the cost of items. Our GMs are going through players who accumulated a lot of zeny to make sure they did it appropriately and not by a method that is against the rules.

Removing the accounts that had a nearly endless amounts of zeny will stop this from occurring again. We have the studio working on methods to better track issues like this, and they came in early in Korea to help us with that.

We hope to see the prices come down in the Auction House for these items now that the endless flow of zeny has been cut off. We don't want to issue a roll back for the game because we don't want to punish unknowing players who saw an item listed high and decided to match the price with their own.

Our investigation is not over, and we are working on more methods to bring the market back and keep it maintainable, but we wanted to update you on what had occurred and that we are working to fix it.

Thanks for responding and actively trying to do something about it. Won't be immediate fix like many will cry for, but should help it settle back down to normal.

See exploit and manipulation, was common sense when you thought of resources/sources/flow of zeny... only 2 conclusions... bots/exploits. In the end whether or not it was the gold sellers they bought up the market share and legitimate sellers just lucked out on what they sold with the main source of zeny gone there are still those with a lot of zeny now (legitimately and lucky). So even if the market hits a peak and starts to plateau you still have a tier of players and like everyone knows "trickle-down" effect does not and will never work. But hopefully we wont be seeing outrageous prices anymore.

Whats going to happen to the people who profited legitimately from the banned players themselves? Are they going to be able to keep the zenny? I know they didn't do anything wrong but it feels like it might cause a problem if that illegal money is allowed to circulate around the economy.

Wipe must have, as it will make the same items bought from other players with zeny dirty, practically a money laundering (Zeny) within the server .. Wipe all the servers zeny ... because they will not lose many players.

Nothing was fixed, people who already got ilegit money and spent it with legit stuff and them reselled it for legit money and hoarded stuff will be above everyone else. No hope.

I seen this happen in a chinese mmorg based on famous chinese faily tale which somebody took and made a famous Anime called DBZ. Anyways, you ALL should be HAPPY, because in that game, the GM didn't do swat and let this kind of thing go.
I still view that chinese game as one of the worst because they let these kind of things happen and didn't care.

The question is, Will you randomly punish me for selling my stuff even though it was legitimate? or will I be tossed in just because I was selling my Karnium.

Thats just the first layer. what about ppl who got kafra items through ilegall zeny and then reselled it or already used in ygg leafs? And what about if they already reselled it to npc and got legit money and then bought stuff now with legit money? Its an infinite web, not possible to really FIX this without a complete wipe. Its messed forever.

That what its looking like, they cant track it if you already used it in ygg leaves and sold to everyone in the serv and these ppl already used the leaves or reselled it and bought something else.
