A month ago, suddenly one day, sometimes when I summon my Eira for the first time (only happens once per max) my RO would go into "Not Responding". It would take 30 seconds to make it go back to normal - if I pressed any button it would close RO without notice. My Eira would make my RO go into "Not Reponding" for ~1 second if I fought against Vesper every time Vesper attacked - it was really annoying. It happened so 2-3 other MvPs too, but not most of them.

I knew it was probably because there was something wrong with my AI logging in tons of errors in a short period causing the "Not Responding" because this didn't happen on my other computer. So I just redownloaded the newest 1.50 - the lag would still happen sometimes fighting against certain MvP's, but not as much.

However the real problem is here (lol sorry just wanted to add all the details):
The main problem happened after yesterday's maintenance. I've noticed that every time I have my Eira out when fighting in Tao Gunka MvP Summoner, my gene would have major packet sending delay. I would have to spam Cart cannon 3-4 times for it to use it once about 5 seconds later, or any other skill/walking. The second I vaporize my Eira, the problem would go away. This persisted with my other computers too. Having my Eira out in cities (eden/alberta etc) is fine. I haven't had it to test out on regular MvP maps or other MvP summoner maps because I'm still on gum.
The lag really felt like how when WoE lagged when the server first merged, but instead of 15 second delays its ~3-5 second delays.

If you are using my AI, please post AAIStartH.txt and AAI_ERROR.log (if present), both located in your RO folder.

I don't know if it is your homunculous tbh. I can't even go to OD2 anymore because of the lag and the disconnecting. (I also use a Sera)

That's what happened to my Gene too. I vaporized it and it helped with the lag SLIGHTLY.. but apparently a friend wizard of mine was complaining I am lagging him whenever my Homun is present in Geffen. I guess Homuns maybe one of the reason that's causing the entire Geffen lag.. ? ~_~;;

I've been noticing when i have my lif out she causes me to lag badly, when she goes away (either death or vapor) the lag lessens but i still have some bad, till i load in through teleporting or map changing... could it be a setting in my ai setup thats making this? ( i use azzy's as well, good ai program ^^) this has been happening for about a week or two now.

Edit, just tested on two fields

when i have it out on the fields i lag bad, when i call it out while on the field i lag bad.

It's happening the same thing to me, specially at low ti and od2. It started at the same time, I'm also using Azzy's AI.
I use a Vanilmirth and I noticed that during this lag, I can see everything happenning normaly, I just can't move my character and my vanil would stop completely too.

I've seen more alchemists with this problem, so it'd be great if you could give us any help.

Yeah, you didn't copy the empty data folder when you installed AzzyAI, so it cant save homun timeout status.

But this isn't related to the lag.

Can someone who experiences this lag take a traceai while it's lagging (summon homun, then type /traceai, then /traceai again to turn logging off) then send me the traceai.txt file that is created in your RO folder?

I went in with a merc (just because) and my homunc, and noticed when the merc died the lag eased up a bit but was still there. I'm aware that they were causing lag problems on TI maps, but the summoner too now?

Azzy if you still need some reports I'll try to grab one for you tomorrow since I'm supposed to be sleeping now. xD I can try on both my homunclus if that'll make a difference, although both are lagging me.

Try out the twRO lag-mod version - does that prevent the lag issue?

I just tried this AI version and it's working pretty smoothly, no lag at all. Thank you very much =D


By the way, I tested only at OD2 and low ti maps.

Well, okay - that's unfortunate.

The twRO lag fix has a distinct impact on homunculus responsiveness, and the iRO servers have always been able to take homuns running full AzzyAI before. (it was generally only needed on twRO in the past, hence the name)
