I thought about this a couple of times before so I thought I could clear my mind of it.

 

It may be a bit far fetched or not, but I thought I would throw it out there nonetheless!

 

You know how monsters drop cards? Well why can't players have their own cards with their name?

 

A couple of things I have not entirely thought through (which is why I bring it up publicly for discussion) :

 

1- In what conditions would these be available (killing said player maybe?)

 

2- Effects of the cards would have to be determined by who? Player themselves or the game's design team?

 

3- Would this be some kindof system like players who create hats perhaps?

 

4- Would all players have their own cards or would certain conditions have to be met (I'm guessing the latter)?

 

5- etc...

 

 

For example:

 

 

"Alicia Winterheart Card"

 

Compounded on : Headgear

Charisma +5

Adds a high chance of dropping a Muffin while attacking (not to be confused with when a monster is defeated)

Muffins restore 100% more HP

All other sources of healing items restore 100% less HP (SP items unafected)

 

 

So after a while you would have a bunchof muffins all over the place or something.

Obviously this example is fantastic but something along those lines.

 

Curious to hear about what you folks think - good or bad (preferably constructive), let's have it

Well, a system of glorifying an individual would be bad of course, since its a can of worms ("why does he/she have a card but not me?! no fair!!" etc).

 

Maybe if they were a little more innocuous like "Muffin Caper Card" that did that muffin effect.

teffalockheart card : when log in to game for every 12 hour, there will be 20% chance to be given a game master privilege

Or maybe they can create cards about the lacking problems of Ragnarok and remember they have to fix them.

dunno bout effects but custom card art for a player is awesome:D seen some around and they all look badass~

 

like if you can upload a card slot in the costume side or something, or when you right click option to "view player card" like you would to view equipment and there's a blank card that pops up where you can upload your own card art like you do a guild emblem~ and people can just check it out~ lol

 

edit: and OMG you can have like SUPER COOL FRAME~ like, -_-ty regular card frame for when you noob and when you 150 get like a MVP card frame~ AHAHAAHA /okaybai

dunno bout effects but custom card art for a player is awesome:D seen some around and they all look badass~

Effect: ability to learn about other player real life gender, bonus with maya purple, if the player is girl, gain movement speed (so u can chase her if u wan), if the player is boy, gain atk+100 for 4sec (so u can killed him especially those using female sprite) otherwise u can just simply leave them alone.
