I thought about this a couple of times before so I thought I could clear my mind of it.
It may be a bit far fetched or not, but I thought I would throw it out there nonetheless!
You know how monsters drop cards? Well why can't players have their own cards with their name?
A couple of things I have not entirely thought through (which is why I bring it up publicly for discussion) :
1- In what conditions would these be available (killing said player maybe?)
2- Effects of the cards would have to be determined by who? Player themselves or the game's design team?
3- Would this be some kindof system like players who create hats perhaps?
4- Would all players have their own cards or would certain conditions have to be met (I'm guessing the latter)?
5- etc...
For example:
"Alicia Winterheart Card"
Compounded on : Headgear
Charisma +5
Adds a high chance of dropping a Muffin while attacking (not to be confused with when a monster is defeated)
Muffins restore 100% more HP
All other sources of healing items restore 100% less HP (SP items unafected)
So after a while you would have a bunchof muffins all over the place or something.
Obviously this example is fantastic but something along those lines.
Curious to hear about what you folks think - good or bad (preferably constructive), let's have it
