In the description it says Shadow Leap will work through obstacles, but from what I tested, it doesn't.

Is the description wrong or the skill is bugged?

I tried both with stairs and small stone in the ground, it didn't leap through any of them.

You have to have a Smokie carded accessory so you can use the skill "Hide" in order to be able to perform shadow leap. you get shadow hiding as an Oboro/Kagerou wich you can use shadow leap from as well.

 Basically you have to be in Hide mode in order to use shadow leap.

 an example of a Smokie carded accessory: Hiding clip, Hiding cat hand, Hiding Nile Rose, ect

Uhm, that answer has not sooo very much to do with the question, Cmoota... /hmm

 

My Ninja doesn't have Shadow Leap, but I remember from my old one that it does NOT work through (solid) obstacles. This is also confirmed by irowiki.org . Maybe the ingame descriptions means obstacles such as other characters - other than with that explanation, yeah, it's just wrong.

I use it with Shadow Hiding so that's not the problem....

 

But in RO U can walk through other chars w/o a problem, so it's not much of an obstacle.

 

Then I guess the description is wrong.... shame tho, It would be great if I could shorten the walk with jumps ;P.

Haha sorry!   I was half asleep when I was reading your post..... Umm that is a good question. if it says can move through obstacles in the description then why "can't" you move through obstacles with it?

you can leap over CERTAIN obstacles (some cliffs, waterways like in prontera culverts) but not walls and such...

I see, so I can't use it to shorten some ways.... I wonder why I couldn't jump through that rock in the ground tho o.o;.

Well..... weirdly enough, I remember not being able to heal over a skull on the ground in Orc Village ;P. People died cos of it...

Pneuma acted weird for me too, when I cast it next to me, it didnt work, but on me it did for me, but not the char next to me.... sigh....
