Hello everybody.

 

from http://irowiki.org/wiki/ATK, I try to calculate my critical damage in many condition but it does not match between damage from calculate and real damage.

 

Ex.1

from screenshot my gx has

 

Str 98 , S.atk 176 Base W.atk 165 Nab's Cloth (Atk+15) and +9 Heroic Backpack (atk+30, critical damage 15%)

 

Str Bonus = 165*(98/200) = 80.85 , Variance = 0.05*165*3 = 24.75

 

W.atk = 165+80.85+24.75 = 270.60 rounddown to 270

 

E.atk = 15(Nab's Cloth) + 30(Heroic Backpack) = 45

 

Atk = 176*2(S.atk*2) + 270(W.atk) + 45(E.atk) + 30(Mastery) = 697

 

add 20% from Advance Katar Mastery = 697*1.2 = 836.4 rounddown to 836

 

add 15% from Heroic backpack = 836*1.15 = 961.4 rounddown to 961

 

minus soft def from target = 961 - 77 = 884

 

critical damage = 884*1.4 = 1237.6 rounddown to 1237

 

and real critical damage is 1237 too

 

but

Atk = 176*2(S.atk*2) + 280(W.atk) + 31(E.atk) + 30(Mastery) = 693

 

add 20% from Advance Katar Mastery = 693*1.2 = 831.6 rounddown to 831

 

add 15% from Heroic backpack = 831*1.15 = 955.65 rounddown to 955

 

minus soft def from target = 955 - 77 = 878

 

critical damage = 878*1.4 = 1229.2 rounddown to 1229

 

but real critical damage is 1232!!

 

Where is error in my mechanism?

 

Does anyone teach me about damage calculate mechanism??

I've never been able to make the numbers add up exactly either. Just like you do, I get numbers very close to reality - but not an exact match. 

 

RO does perverse things with rounding, and I suspect that is at the root of this problem.

I think too about problem form rounding, sometime if I roundup damage from calculation will match with real damage but it can not use for all condition. It make me very confuse.
