The current Kafra Shop items have already been made, and only just need to be implemented. Very little work is needed for that, if any.

Items that we have requested to be made, take a much longer time. I know some of the Kafra items we have formally requested will make a number of you very happy.

We understand all of those points. What we don't get is why you rush into patches without testing them. Until now, and please enlight me if I'm wrong, I haven't seen a single bug (that actually matters) with any of the kafra shop items you have released...

I get it, you are a Community Manager and you're the link between the users and the owners so there is not much you can do when it comes to development. But maybe you can tell the owners that if they want to make profit out of this game, they MUST change the way they are handling things at the moment. Set a Beta Test server and recruit some users; test the patches before launching them and not just copy/paste; etc.

We can't really say anthing about WoE buggs because you ACTUALLY told us we would have a WHOLE MONTH for beta test, but the rest of the bugs... come on....

Lol, ohh.. there are bugs with the Kafra shop system. Just no one complains about that as loudly. :)

When we apply patches, it doesn't always work the same way on an internal as it does on a live server. Even if we had a public test server, it's no guarantee the patch will act the same way on the live. If and when we do get a public test server, it would not be for testing patches but rather for testing new changes (such as for class balancing).

Class balancing... I think we sorely need them.

Haters gonna hate.

@Meconopsis, not just balancing, but a bit more variety within the class themselves.

I have to agree with OP, this game is definitely going to live on. As long as there's players coming in, profits being made, and a motivated staff and community, the game is still living. It may seem like it's dying, but in truth, it's more so "sustaining" if anything.

My guild is geared towards newer players, and even they're enjoying the game still twenty levels after recruitment. Even I, playing on SEA then moving to the local server for Open Beta, am still enjoying the game despite my low tolerance of game-breaking bugs/glitches/exploits. So much that I have 14 characters between this server and SEA, plus an alt on this server for storage.

So even if there's a bad patch, I like to see it more as a test of loyalty to the game than the development team slacking off. You can tell by the content alone that they're trying their best to encourage older and newer players to play. They've got some returning content from RO1, and new content for RO2. Like a modern Sonic the Hedgehog game. They're reintroducing the series while keeping some older aspects in place.

Being a non-profit one-man indie game developer, I can also understand how difficult it must be fixing things. So I can only give my best regards to WP and Gravity.

I agree with your point, but having a open/closed test server allows to reduce the bugs in at least 70%, isn't it worth it?

ok I can understand the no patches testing to a certain extent.

however when a patch affects the game as bad as the WoE patch did, does it not make sense to pull it and place it on this testing server to debug rather then make players get frustrated "trying" to play?

Oh! Can I convince you to ask them to put the 30 day Grand Peco into the kafka shop permanently?

I love my Grand Peco*, and was quite happy to just rebuy her every time the 30 days was up, but now I can't. :( (The ones in the Auction House are far too expensive for me)

it seems that as long as the (pay to win) shop is open there will be people putting hard earned money down the drain. it seems funny that after all the bugs they give us a point explosion event to sink more money into a broken game,

faith for this game is at a all time low

where is the glory that Ro1 made at? because i sure don't see it here

The inherent problem that I have with the developers (and Asian F2P developers in general) is that they have this mindset that the only way to make money off a F2P game is to purposefully gimp the game and make it so the gameplay is only decent if players buy from the cash shop. Whereas the western F2P mindset is to make a game decent as the basis and then put content into the cash shop that is worth buying. Although there are some things in RO2's Kafra Shop that are worth buying (namely costumes and mounts), having it so that players can only get them via gamble boxes and then having VIP character-bound as opposed to account-bound lowers the desirability of that content for a lot of players.

My thread in the proposals section is one way to put the game on the right track to being as good as RO1. Pretty much the only way to make RO2 on par with RO1 is to develop the game as a subscription-worthy game (since RO1 started out as a P2P game). I don't know how much they're listening to WarpPortal in regards to the game, but I feel it's not quite enough to get this game up to same level as RO1.

I think classes are indeed too plain. This is why people complain about such and such classes being too strong. If thier was more uniqueness to each class and what it brings to the table in pvp and pve. The game is just not a good sequel to ro1. I mean take this... sanc and deluge...same thing. To top it off your going to add two more classes that has sanc/deluge skill as well. The game has tons of copy pasted skills to fill in the cracks. It is not what I envisioned of ragnarok 2 sadly.

RO seems to be one of the few that didn't jump on the f2p greediness bandwagon till now. It seems that they want it to keep f2p which means they prob care more about the money then the game itself.

Classes are always going to be a problem not matter what game you play and the more they try to balance the more problems they will have because the class they balanced became op.

this is true, it seems the Devs dont care about what we think and only care about that cash flow.

indeed, when i jumped here from Ro1 i was thinking RO2 will be like RO1 only 3D. BOY was i WRONG.

Reading this thread giving me headache @.@

Oh, don't worry guys. Project R1 is still actively in progress, working and coming.. Just wait for it.

Different developer, the original maker of RO1 I believe.

Imagining the original RO1, all the class, skills, mob, card, elements and stuff, but in 3D.

Well, that's what I read.

I have faith in WP but not RO2, and so in Project R1 I'm gonna put my trust.

I have faith for the simple reason that every game has problems at release. If they learn from them or just keep going as it is, is what will define them. I hope i can see more of it, and the problem get fixed fast. And most important of all, the American market is different than the Asian one.

not a fan of the 2d character, 3d environment.. ro 1 already had that, it would be nice if everything is 3d this time around

im super tired of the (things) going on with this game i cant curse for fear of mod11<3 spanking me.

1 the game keeps crashing

2 the game is still buggy

3 the game is super laggy

4 all the hard modes are bugged out boss's all ways having enrage up for no reason( run in boss room ENRAGE) your dead

5 there is no real way to make money off monsters like Ro1

6 this game is pay2win. if you say other wise you are blind

7 no one( NO ONE) goes into the WoE map thanks to (some guild ) camping 24/7, not just that (your woe sucks = epic fail)

8 you need vip/6.5k hp to do RHD's? the players of this game have lost their MINDS

9 we dont get(word) from gm/cms for weeks on end , about the game they/dont give us full info on patch notes/events

10 realy 10 things? yes. the lack of customer service. it takes weeks/months for a ticket to even get looked at.

there 10 things that keep me from having hope for this game.  and the list can go on.

Doing a google search leads to some forum where a person contacted the company responsible for developing Project R1. While there are no current news, the game is still in developement. I can't wait for it and really hope it gets english servers.

I really like 2D sprites in a "tabletop" 3D world. I don't know why so many people are obsessed with having everything in 3D and are disgusted by 2D. In my experience, games with simpler/drawn graphics > 3D graphics in term of fun.
