I personally just right click the active quests which sends them into your inactive quest menu.
You can still view them in said inactive menu and they're still available to be completed - this is just a method
of cleaning up your quest panel so you can focus on quests in specific.
Additionally, I understand the Developers are working on quest system improvements at the office.
I quote : (reference: http://forums.warppo...y-maintenance/)
" Along with that we also have a new quest system, which displays the sprite of the NPC you talk to next, and actually can show your quest progress onscreen, so you don't have to constantly have your quest window open! "
Perhaps we will have a way of completely erasing quests at some point too!
Hope this answers your question.

This is something that is needed. I have tons of old half finished event quests and other bugged entries.

i got a bunch of old event quests removed by sending in a ticket... they will ask for the specific names of each quest you want erased so you might want to write em all down...

Okay, I might've just lost my marbles here but I could have SWORN there used to be an NPC in Prontera whose purpose was to erase quests from your quest log. I spent like 2 hours looking for him and decided he probably doesn't exist anymore or was a figment of my imagination all along.
