Ragnarok Monster Lore: Miyabi Doll
Miyabi Doll is a monster commonly found in the Tatami Maze. This monster is a black-haired girl wearing a purple yukata or kimono with a flower pattern and a red and white obi. However, Miyabi Doll has a pair of purple hands near the back of it's head, which parts the hair behind it to reveal a face behind it's head. When attacked, the hands would strike the attacker.
Miyabi Doll is based on a Japanese yokai known as a futakuchi-onna ("two-mouthed woman"), which is an otherwise normal woman with a second mouth on the back of her head beneath her hair. In folklore, the origin of a futakuchi-onna varies in cause. A common reason why the woman grows a second mouth is the amount of food the woman eats. In many stories, a woman would rarely eat and the mouth would mysteriously appear on the back of her head. This new mouth would often demand food and if it's demands are not met, it would screech and cause the woman extreme pain. Soon, the woman's hair starts moving under the mouth's control, allowing it to help itself the the woman's food. This new mouth consumes much, much more food than the woman's normal mouth.
