i use to had the same problem, just make your own partys and problem solved or u can ask for the party leader for a moment kick the greeder in a big moob and use a Gwing. If u are using a Sorcerer burn his SP or if u are puller kill him using the moob

It seems the basic argument comes down to disabling drops or disabling greed. Neither of which I think is necessary. IMO disabling drops in TIs or disabling greed in TIs will make no difference, people are bad or are -_-holes in parties? Disabling stuff will not magically make the quality of parties go up. There is nothing wrong with having drops and having greed in TIs, it's the people. You have to make your own efforts if you want to be assured of a quality party. It is on you whether you decide to party with randoms. Don't blame drops and don't blame greed.

Honestly? Of course an AB is gonna see a BoP and rush for it if they can if it means someone dying who cares, this is the era of BMX3 and VIP. Of course an AB is gonna want to grab a BoP and of course an MVPer class is gonna want to grab an AK card if they see it and it's ridiculous and naive to expect anyone to do otherwise. You need to accept that this is the reality of the game, and you always take your chances with randoms. I personally think TIs should have had dropless mobs in the first place but since they choose to let whatever monster they put drop it's normal drops, you can't really blame an AB for jumping on a BoP or whatever the item may be.

at least getting rid of drops certainly make greeder go somewhere else to greed upon. that makes at least one or two problem solved. That will make greeder go home, and no one would Q_Q about BoP drop.

There is something bad in general about turn ins. They need to go away.

  • Something about turn ins makes people think it's okay to kill steal.
  • Something about turn ins makes people think it's okay to steal loot from other players
  • Something about turn ins makes people think it's okay to mob train
  • Something about turn ins makes people think it's okay to hold mobs for long periods of time (looking at you autospell sura/rg)

This is all rude/disruptive behavior that wouldn't have flown like 5+ years ago in a popular leveling spot.

this weeks low ti has shown me the worst cases of kill stealing ive ever seen in my 10 years playing this game. all week long i was seeing people blatantly walking up to parties mobs and aoeing them, casting aoe spells over people soloing, chasing down monks that were tanking and aoeing on them before their party can get to mob, hiding inside of parties aoeing their mobs thinking the party doesnt see them. i saw people getting into cussing matches over it through chatboxes and public chat, i even saw a bunch of dif cases where the kser was telling the people he was ksing 'what are you gonna do about it?' or in some cases just straight up telling them go puppy themselves, which is unbelievable.

seriously where did all of these horrible people come from

This is all rude/disruptive behavior that wouldn't have flown like 5+ years ago in a popular leveling spot.

Its an EXP entitlement phenomenon. The KS'r feels that if they can do away with a mob faster than the person tanking it that they are obligated to vanquish the mob.

There is also a superiority phenomenon. The KS'r feels that if they can outkill a party, that party doesn't deserve the mob. They also feel that those tanking mobs for a long period of time are in some way "ruining the spawn" or obtaining their exp in an abusive and unskilled way. Which justifies their behavior to kill the mob.

There is also an abundance phenomenon. There is so much loot, and so much opportunity to obtain any drop that people feel justified in snagging it. Its a "waste nothing" attitude. When a greeder sees a pile of loot they "better grab it before it despawns".

On top of it all, the process of reporting is so tedious and guarantees no results. Its not worth the time, when another gigantic mob is just a flywing away.

they need to save themselves some time and effort and just use an event monster to hunt in TI...

give it no drops- no more greeders, no impact on the economy

give em no exp- no more worry about level vs monster level

raise the kill count to 1000

give a flat exp rate for completion- like 10-20% exp...

put em all on identical maps

no more people crying about this monster or that monster being in TI, no more anti greed threads, no more wasting GM time trying to fix this map or that map... and as it gets repetitive as hell and boring maybe people will wander out into the world maps just for a change of scenery..

Frankly I love the HBP even though I don't actually own one.  I feel like it diffuses the hatred toward mechanics a bit because the distrust from knowing that someone has the greed skill now goes beyond a single class.

Though I still feel like my mech is constantly under a microscope in parties.  People have gotten so uppity about greeding that if I tap it once it's pretty much guaranteed that I'm outta there, yet if I manually pick up all kinds of loot while neglecting to actually do anything useful nobody cares.  They only freak out if they see "Greed" pop up.  That's kinda stupid.

agree. mechs have a life of hell and its no wonder that so few people play them. gravity and warp portal absolutely REFUSE to address all of the horrific issues that plague the class and just let day after day go by of this class being BROKEN. we STILL have problems with bugging out col. heal on ABs, so all of our mid/high tis, et's, and random party groupings are an annoying nightmare of us having to be ejected from the party and reinvited to fix heals (which of course makes people weary about invite us to parties). at this point i think theyre just going to leave this bug in permanently
