Just want to make sure before I spend zeny buying,upgrading and enchanting the wings.

 

In terms of CC and AB damage, what is better for gene? I know that the FAW doesnt have slot atm but some day it will have have slot.

 

so +9 FAW EA10 or EA9 vs +9 DR HBP ( DR cuz I use GTB shield)

 

or I was thinking something like +9 FAW EA/EA/Spell

HBP is a much better all-around gear - damage reduction, greed, and it adds more damage to AB than you can pull out of FAW. 

 

IMO, the FAW is really only useful if you're going 100% variable reduction and spamming CC (you can do this with +9 KK CoD, 2x spell 33 RWC pend, spell 44 byeo (vs bosses) and SpellSpellEA FAW - I do this when CCing bosses). It's not that great for ABing.

The FAW will do a couple % more damage with CC (but for DPS you're likely better off with spell enchants), a couple % less damage with AB, making the usual assumptions.

So a Spell FAW will be more ideal for leveling/turn ins rather than an EA FAW? For CC I mean.

Yeah, under most circumstances (particularly if you're stacking enough cast time reducs to get insta in strings - or without strings; what's great about insta is you don't need a phen...) - though the backpack gives you a bit of extra durability and the ability to vacuum up loot.
