Well i am bit confused about this, is this useful at all? Ive read lot of guides and posts but still a bit confused...some ppl say its great skill and must always get it, other ppl say isnt that useful, etc, but my main question...should i get this skill at early levels or just end/late levels?(talking about warrior)

It's not really THAT viable until endgame, for leveling up it offers close to no-boost, at all...

I'd recommend sticking to DPS skills for Leveling Up, these offer greater boosts in early game, have in mind that the HP/Defense buff that Aura Armor offers really helps us go solo grinding, specially after Lvl 25, because we can't self-heal...

Yeah, don't attempt to get it until your last 3 levels as a Warrior. You'll benefit a lot more from getting your other skills beforehand for leveling purposes. Especially if you plan to max Tension Relax. It's not exactly the best healing skill out there, but it'll save you time and some zeny. In some situations, it'll save you while main tanking normal dungeon bosses as well.

Magnum break is a great skill if you are trying to draw threat from an area, but wait on Battle Tactics till you can get

a good title, like Founder and accessories equipped at the earliest

Thank you for your answers all of you :), but still got some questions hope you can answer.

Just to let you know Im not very familiarized with the endgame environment yet, and I want to go for an offtank Warrior(this is what most of warriors go, i think...)

If I am planning to get battle tactics at endgame, should I save/put stats points on int?

What skills should i rush first once i hit lv 25? Still not sure about this, as Audn say, Should i max dps skills first? bash/aura strike/battle orders and probably rage strike or even berserker? or rush brandish storm? What Ive read i see brandish storm is a must get skill for all warriors, but I dont know if it can wait or just get it right away once I hit 25.

Probably im worrying too much ....probably because I dont even know if its that hard to get/buy stat/skills reset scrolls when you are at the endgame and I dont want to mess with the stats or skills :/

For leveling max your dps. Max TR and have some decent skills on rage strike too. TR would save your azz alot. especially if you have no z's for potions

Reviving this old threat, just because it is useful for new players and maybe some others as well.

The main fault of RO2 is that some stats grant a static bonus, whereas others grant a fractional one. That's just a ridiculous stupid concept.

STR: +22 damage per 11 points.

VIT: +66 HP per 11 points

These are flat boni. You always get +20 damage, no matter how much damage your weapon deals.

+22 damage is 10% when your total attack power is 220, but it's 1% when your attack power reaches 2200.

AGI: +44 Crit. Bonus per 11 points.

Now, this also looks like a flat bonus, but it isn't. As soon as you reach level 50, it takes approx. 44 points in Crit. value to get +1% crit. chance (aka. crit rate).

This crit. rate isn't affected by the damage of your weapon. +1% chance to deal double damage equals +1% overall damage.

(99x normal damage + 1x double damage = 101x damage / 100 hits = 101% damage = +1% damage bonus)

That's why I did the above calculation with +11 in a certain stat. Since +11 AGI always grants a +1% damage boost,.

If you have an attack power of 2200, +22 damage due to +11 STR also equals +1% damage boost.

Fazit:

Attack Power < 2200 => STR better than AGI

Attack Power > 2200 => AGI better than STR

________________________________

Now let's look at Battle Tactics:

It grants an +0.4% crit. damage per INT.

+10 INT = +4% Crit. damage

The overall damage bonus is calculated this way:

% damage bonus on crit * crit. chance = overall damage bonus

+11 AGI = +1% overall damage,

+11 INT = +4.4% damage on crit.

Therefore you need a crit. chance of 22.73% to be as effective as AGI (or STR with 2.2k attack power).

To sum up the obvious:

Since STR is better than AGI, as long as your attack power is less then 2200 and you need a crit. chance of >23% for INT being betther than AGI, leveling INT is even worse even if you have Battle Tactics.

To finally answer your question:

Take the INT stat you have and the crit. chance and calculate the damage bonus in the way I have shown above.

Then compare the damage bonus with other skills (f.e. Concentration or Berserk) and you get the answer whether or not it's wise to level it.

My general answer is NO, unless you get gear that gives a significant bonus to AGI and crit. chance.

Quoting Greven heavily as he did a good job explaining this but the math needs updated for the new patch.

STR: +22/33* damage per 11 points. *(knight/warrior all "/" indicate the knight to warrior ratio)

This is a flat bonus. You always get +2/3 damage, no matter how much damage your weapon deals.

+30 damage is 10% when your total attack power is 300, but it's 1% when your attack power reaches 3000.

AGI: +44 Crit. Bonus per 14.6 points.

That's why I did the above calculation with +14.6 in a certain stat. Since +14.6 AGI always grants a +1% damage boost,.

If you have an attack power of 2920/4380, +29.2/43.8 damage due to +14.6 STR also equals +1% damage boost.

Fazit:

Attack Power < 2920/4380* => STR better than AGI *(Knight/Warrior)

Attack Power > 2920/4380*  => AGI better than STR *(Knight/Warrior)

________________________________

Now let's look at Battle Tactics:

It grants an +0.4% crit. damage per INT.

+10 INT = +4% Crit. damage

The overall damage bonus is calculated this way:

% damage bonus on crit * crit. chance = overall damage bonus

+14.6 AGI = +1% overall damage,

+14.6 INT = +5.84% damage on crit.

Therefore you need a crit. chance of 17.12% to be as effective as AGI (or STR with 2920/4380 attack power).

To sum up the obvious:

Since STR is better than AGI, as long as your attack power is less then 2920/4380 and you need a crit. chance of >17.12% for INT being betther than AGI, leveling INT is even worse even if you have Battle Tactics.

My personal notes:

AGI took a huge hit going from 3 to 4 crit per point making it's weight much less for DPS stats. I am still new at this game (33 Warrior atm) but I love doing this kind of stuff. If my math is off please let me know and I will correct it here.

Again thanks to Greven for putting it together originally.

You might want to do some additional calculations. If the new stat change gets fully fixed, int will be providing AP. Also condicer that str will be giving warriors 3 ap instead of 2.  This is going to change stat weights for both classes.

I am not seeing ant increase to my AP for INT in the UI but if it dose happen I should be able to update the ratio's. My math above does show the difference between Knight and Warrior. I have updated it a bit to make it easier to see the class differences.

lots of the stats and some skills are broken atm. Once fixed though we should be getting 2 ap per 1 int.
