hey guys i have a question about the different levels of the "call" skills for sorcerers.  There are 3 levels for each that each give u different benefits (just gonna be staying in passive mode also).  For instance lvl 2 call ventus in passive mode gives you: Increases the damage of Electric Walk and Varetyr Spear. Increases the damage of Psychic Wave by 20%, and changes the element to Wind. Also adds a flat +5 ASPD and reduces fixed cast time of all skills by 1 second.  

But then if i get to lvl 3 call ventus in passive mode the new benefits are: Auto-cast level 5 Lightning Bolt at a 25% chance. When casting Endow Tornado or Violent Gale there is a 50% chance of not consuming a Wind of Verture or Yellow Gemstone. Also adds a flat +5 ASPD and reduces fixed cast time of any skill by 1 second.  

My question is if i upgrade it to lvl 3 will i lose the benefits from lvl 2 or do they stack?  I want to go to lvl 3 to get the extra duration time for the skill but dont want to lose the benefits from lvl 2, specifically the bolded portion above.  Please help.  Thank you

If you cast lvl 3 ventus, you don't get any effects from the previous 2 levels afaik.

Uh, aren't the skills level-selectable?

They are indeed level selectable, and changeable during different situations. however, changing the Ventus etc will cost items each time which can become costly. I would suggest using the one that would benefit you most during your levelling/hunting.

 

I myself use level 3 Ventus in passive mode to coincide with my cast reduction equipment to give me instant casting ability. especially useful in TI situations.

But Izzy lvl 2 call ventus also reduces cast time.  Does cast time get reduced more with lvl 3?  I want to  have instant cast PW but don't know if that's possible

That's what I use, level 3 Ventus. with spirit control level 1.

All three ventus levels reduce cast the same amount in spirit control level 1. You can also hit insta cast psychic wave with the right gears.
