Haibane Renmei, hands down the best one I've seen.
Reason: The feels.. and also, it's an animé of the kind that really lets you think and analyse the content for a very long time after seeing it. Which is always appreciated with me

I love and recommend Blue Exorcist xD
Uh some others I've seen that are good
YuYu Hakusho (I was a DBZ guy didnt know what anime was then) Got into yuyu later and was sorry I missed out it is great imho.
Trigun is always a must watch xD
FMA Some ppl said it but it deserves all mentions xD
One piece and Fairy Tail both mainstream but both phenomenal xD
Haven't seen it only read but accel world is cool too.
Detective Conan is also really good (then again I never say no to anime/manga lol)

Akame ga Kill - was originally told it was a very gory anime...nowhere near as bad as some of the other ones I've watched(particularly Total Eclipse, which belongs on the list too)
Total Eclipse - Who doesn't like an alien invasion with mech units fighting them?
Log Horizon - Just because it has a great story, and it's people stuck in a world that incorporates their MMO that they played.
Fairy Tail - So much funny
SAO - Again, MMO, good laughs, touching moments, badass monsters
The Irregular at Magic High School - Pretty awesome concept of magic being made through technological advances, funny times
Hunter x Hunter - Freaking amazing in so many ways.
@ShazamO: It's really that great? I haven't watched it yet, but it is on my list of things to watch...along with way too many others(been out of touch with animes for oh so long until a certain site was discovered by my friend)

JoJo's Bizarre adventure is definitely good one of the few Anime I look forward to watching weekly. Jonathan Joestar the original gentlemen is still the best protagonist in the series in my eyes anyways. Every season begins with the next generation of the Joestar family its really interesting got me hooked instantly

It's pretty amazing during the Joesph Jostar Saga. I finally caught up with the most recent season and they are coming out with new episodes each week. It won't take you that long to catch up but it's very worth it.

Joesph Jostar's Saga is the best! He's so lovable. Then Jonathan and Jotaro. I disliked Jotaro at first but he's growing on me.

Aside from others already mentioned, I really liked Nichijou (My Ordinary Life), Servant x Service, Wagnaria (both seasons, and Yamada is the best!)
Also, it's an oldie that I'm finally getting around to watching, but I am really loving Patlabor the TV series.

Every Gundam from the UC era except ZZ, so MS Gundam, Pocket, Stardust, Zeta, CCA, F91 and Victory, although erring to the first ones chronologically (got a bit crazy towards the end). That also includes awesome stuff like Battlefield Record 0081, but excludes strange things like IGLOO and G-Saviour.
