Hello all,

Since Requiem is a horror game, I though it would be nice to have at least one class that is moderatly scary. I havn't really worked out a certain story line to fit the class with the others. My orginal idea is that the classs originated from regular people who were exposed to the effects of the explosion that made all the other animals mutate. Although, the mutation has occured, they are still humanoid in appearance.

In terms of skills, I think it would be cool for it to be anti-sin, since assasins are the dominate force in PVP. Something to counter balance the type of gameplay that results from sin overpopulation.

The drawing took about 2 hours of fun.

Please share your ideas for a story line for a new horror class that will live up to its genre. Also, tell us any ideas for class skills and other relavant content. Maybe Requiem: Momento Mori will feel the vibe and make us a new scary class for us to enjoy.

I'll probably add more concept drawings to this thread.

Thanks,

Yeah that would be awesome. Spikes are always a good thing for BA stuff.

One idea is a large aoe trap that summons a couple of spikes to the nearest enemy, even enemies under stealth. :D I think I'll draw something like this. Thanks for the ideas.

That skill is a difficult FX to create. Do you really think a non-American Developer can really pull something like that off? We are talking about Gravity here. Still I should note, that skill FX is completely within the realm of possibility for many US developers. If you use something like DirectX 11 its a simple usage of a geometry shader and cloning part of the terrain.

Nah, I'm sure Gravity could do these type of skills. Anyways, if it were too difficult, there are usually shortcuts to making certain effects work just as nicely without having to go too indepth.

I have Friday off, I'll start drawing some new ideas around then. :D

Nationality doesn't matter when it comes to coding skills...

So your idea of the Bloodthirsty Spike DoT : BS goes random or target? If so, AoE ? How many targets?

One goes to target, others are random. If there is no target, they are all random. No AoE to keep it non-OP.
I'm thinking of a maximum of 8 targets or 8 spikes released (for level 10 skill). First level will release 4 spikes and every 3 levels increase spike count with level 10 including another spike. The levels between will increase dmg and DoT.

Idk, maybe DNA can be used for travel distance for spikes.

Nationality doesn't matter when it comes to coding skills...

Nations have a lot to do with the available workforce. In South Korea there really are not a lot of software developers who were not gobbled up by big MMO developers. On the other hand, there are more FX designers in Southern California than the rest of the world. On top of this there are tremendously more graphics engineers in California due to the people involved with NVidia and AMD. This makes a higher pool of people who understand the latest GPU functionality and how to implement it.
