I just tell them to "Fudge off." Literally fudge. Then they stop msging me for a while. I can't get in trouble for telling them to get candy off, can I?

Do we know if their accounts will be banned if we have snapshots as proof? because I will start sending tickets if they are going to ban them.

I've have read some forums from other sites, they are discussing about RO bots and in that forum there are former iRO players, they say that GMs don't suspend the accounts of botters with VIP status... I hope what they are saying is not true...

This is not true.  I know people who had VIP that were suspended for botting.  I know people with VIP who had their accounts wiped for buying zeny.  I know people with VIP who were suspended for abusing bugs.  They don't get as much preferential treatment as people make it out to be.

Temporary on first offense if person agrees to a zeny/item wipe.  Same policy all players get.

The best solution to this is

 

Have a GM character made with a really weird name, and let the walking bot record its character code

 

And then have the GM enter GM hide so no one can detect/get its name (PM him accidentally)

 

Then, wait for the botters to PM him - and when it does, their account will be automatically banned.

Seriously, now this spam bots keep pm-ing me continuously, this make me to play with /exall every time.....geeez    

Can a GM or a good programming player find a new way to prevent this ? /desperate

Don't go near the center of Pront... You'll get messaged 20 times in less than 2 minutes.

This is a serious issue that needs urgent resolving. Even veteran players are starting to get sick of it quite fast.
Can't imagine how new players feel getting spammed to death as soon as they enter Prontera.

its at the East and the south as well. Really annoying when they SPAM PM you every 2sec. Not to say the least when you ./ex one you get PM's from the next.

No idea if I'm just lucky or am hanging on to my anecdotal evidence but what I do is /am. Then type I dun want to buy your zenny .-. Was walking thru all of pront yesterday, got maybe 2 PMs from them. :s

/am  wont help lol coz since the spammers are bots, which means they dont care whatever reply you gave to them

seriously, i can't even check storage since my screen is full of PM from these *woot*-holes..

I really hope this gets a fix fast. Them pming their normal public chat spam has just made it drastically worse since it is spamming more often now. The 3 liner ones are so slow in repetition I was like whatever, but then my vend went from like 9 lines of pm a day to 100+ in a few hours.

We are aware of the issue and I believe I heard something is being worked on. On the bright side the PM spam is due to us hitting them so hard everywhere else that they have turned to pming characters in desperation.

I really wish there is a way to take legal action against them. This is such a huge harrassment. :\ But oh well.

sue the gold selling companies for interfering with warpportals business....by harassing their players they are driving players away thus hurting Warpportals income... and since they are doing it for profit it would seem that they could sue the gold selling companies...
