Yes you can change to 3rd classes at 99/50, though if you do so, you'll waste 20 skill points, which is huge. It's alway recommends to go for max job lv, especially if you are trans.

i see thanks and i'm also archer class sniper and the trap skills aren't very usefull so have to see, just want to get to ranger got all gear for it atm. tyvm

It will be worth going to max job level. There's nothing greater than the feeling of satisfaction for getting all the way to the end.
Look at it this way, if you change at job 50 now, instead of job 70 that's 20 skill points you lose out on. When you get to Ranger, there will probably be some skills you'd like to get, as you hit 135 base level and your job level is still rather low, it's quite slow to get those job levels. So to get the skills you want will take much longer to get.

If you are not planning on getting any trap skills (except skid and ankle snare which is a pre-req for Aimed Bolt) then you can change job nao... but like they said, you will be wasting a lot of skill points if you do it nao..
I change job at jLvL 53 with my ranger and I don't regret it... 
btw, is it really true about the 2x exp next maint???

You can get to the maintenance topic in one or two clicks from the ragnarok community chat section. That's far past laziness, that's being wilfully ignorant.

the 220 extra SP is very useful but on my ranger build, i'm kinda short for skill points and i'm planning on getting equip enchants to replace that SP from Research Trap..

great thanks for the info i'm lvl 95 so i can get 2 more skill points for this skill, already got the skills for arrow shower^^
