Level 10 Shadow Explosion has 10 seconds cooldown with nice damage AND a chance to do DOUBLE DAMAGE on the enemy marked with Mark of Shadow. They said this skill has been buffed by decreasing its animation speed and 1 hit produced instead of two hits, making it EVEN faster to execute.

Level 10 Shadow Strike also has 10 seconds cooldown also with nice damage.

 

Combined, Assassin can do a minimum of 1500% damage and a maximum of 2500% if Mark of Shadow is applied. Not to mention the heavy crits that an Assassin can have.

 

... But really?

 

While skills are being upgraded beautifully, it still loses to majority of DPS classes like Rangers and Wizards which getting level 10 of their basic, most spammable skills.

 

Not to mention, Assassin's eqs (esp. weapon) is basically utter crap right now. Stats are poor in comparsion to other equipments. Claw's PATK is now equal to Dual Dagger's PATK which diminishes the ONLY pro of Assassin's weapon over Rogue's.

 

I'm quitting.

Not to mention that Maxed Grimtooth and Maxed Shadow armor make you basically an immortal unkillable God. GOD SO MANY GOOD SKILLS AND SO LITTLE SKILL POINTS.

ikr. 18% restored HP per hit?

What if there are 10 enemies?

I didn't feel any SP problems with my Sin tho', maybe because I accustomed to my Sorc and SM eating SP like it's candy.

92+64 SP hurts like hell imo :(

on the other hand, you should have at least 4k SP.. so you still will have a chance to use it a lot, and SP pots will start to have some weight

Level 4 pets are gonna extinct thief classes they say, your assassin/rogue is useless they say.

Now let me laugh as I destroy them in Colo while they wonder why I recover all my HP every 6 seconds.

My only problem now it's I don't know what character to main, I had kinda given up on my Sin/Rogue in favor of the Priest/Soulmaker/Sorc... But now I'm not sure, and Building 6 characters to master class seems unreal.

Also dat SP, gonna roll a Wis build lol.

Well yeah, but still.. HP and SP pots share the same cooldown..

Get your head straight, research and learn about the updates on each class, and make up your mind.

Surely it'll help on choosing the right class for you after the patch. For me, ASSASSIN ALL THE WAY.

 

Grimtooth's CD is 10 seconds though.

 

For me, the classes that are buffed a lot are: Sorcerer imo. (For god sake, what's with that almost 900% damage on JT and the new shock effect. Not to mention now monsters have elemental attribute now). And Monk got buffed for PVP (Lightning Walk cause knockdown on target? Heavy Tackle STUNS?). But don't let this ruin your choices on thieves lol.

My Assa right now doesn't dps much, at least definitely not in comparison with a ranger. I was in CoA H right now with a ranger.... He dps A LOT more than me, though he did have problems surviving, while my hp just didn't go down (and my grimtooth is still level 1!)... I mean, just give us an aggro generator, we're almost the new generation tank, not dps xD

Well Assassin indeed got their skills buffs and all, but of course, sins will not outdps a ranger. (our basic skills liek Double Attack and Deadly Blow are no different before and after patch from what I've seen in roguard), but still, Assassin got their DPS increased by having those imba bursts for every 10 seconds lol. still better before right?

I don't know really, at least in regards to dps.... Sure, we may do more dps, but does that matter if others also do it and now its required?

 

I do like my Assa, don't get me wrong, its just that the dps decreased a lot. Again, not in pure numbers, but in relation to at least rangers (haven't seen much of other dps classes yet) and to the new mob (for example, sure, we make more damage to Golden Rubberbug, but he has more hp than before also).

 

I do love the fact that we just don't die. We don't.

Level 5, of course. DoTs rule the new world xD

 

Multi-Shot + Poison Arrow is way too much right now.

what exactly is mark of shadow? is that suppose to be mark of genocide or shadow claw? i'm confused

idk.. I think I won't play the game not after they fix things in it..
SP consumption is not logical and has been an issue for all of us, not to mention some skills got bugged.. no. The entire game itself is now a bug.

On topic:
Aside of Assassin's improved shadow skills and self-heal, his basic skills from the Thief tree are so much weaker than any other classes (you can say the same with Swordmen).. C'mon, I mean really? level 5 Double Attack/Deadly Blow in comparison to Ranger's Double Strafing which can be maxed out to level 10? How do we compete against Rangers in this matter? I've always wanted to compete against Ranger in an equal end-game gear, but it is still impossible right now, really. Gravity really needs to OPEN their eyes to balance things out.. This balance is not a balance at all given the fact I've pulled out above. I'm sorry if this thread has turned into a rant and a major QQ thread though.. But please at least give us level 10 Double Attack or Deadly Blow in comparison to Ranger's/Monk's/Beastmaster's/etc. for goodness sake.

This would be my first choice of thief skills to add more levels to. Who needs a stronger Deadly Blow when we have 10 second CD Shadow Explosion?

Shouldn't be too hard to read right?
If they are to improve PW, I'll be glad to max it.

But given this situation, I don't think they'll do anything to the current state of the game tbh.

Maybe able to bring Shadow fiend from lvl 3 to 6 with 24% chance to do 440% damage
