Only by margins of 2-3% are warriors better than knights in majority of the stats. That however should not defer you from knights in the least. People will probably go on to say various other things as well. Personally I love my Knight. She is completely DPS. She doesn't have any tanking ability. ^-^;;
Some key points to note if you are going either Knight OR Warrior:
1) Max Bash, Aura Strike, Str Buff - These are what we call your "Bread and Butter" skills
2) Using only the 50pts you can choose either Aura Blade or Aura Armor (you have to get lvl 1 Aura Blade to have access to Knight/War skills anyways)
a) Some DPS/Hybrid builds have lvl 5 Aura Armor and lvl 1 Aura Blade. My pure DPS is lvl 5 Aura Blade
- Having Aura Blade activate also gives Grand Cross extra damage. ^-^
3) Always get Battle Tactics - However much Int you have will increase your Crit dmg % Ex: 250int = 300% crit dmg (100% normal + 200% crit dmg)
a) You may not think its worth it, but believe me it makes the difference especially if you are DPS (its actually a must).
I have many friends who are warriors so I'll let them give you a build for that. For my DPS Knight build at 49 skill points (reaching lvl 50/ML) is:
*** 1st three skills are given to you at lvl 1***
Head Crush - 1 Bash - 5 Provoke - 1
Magnum Break - 1 Battle Order - 5
Battle Tactics - 2 Aura Strike - 5
Aura Blade - 5
Concentration - 5 Aura Mastery - 3
Shield Boomerang - 1 Shield Charge - 1
SB Mastery - 1 Grand Cross - 2
Shield Cannon - 10 Shield Bash - 1
Some people would probably max Grand Cross for AoE grinding purposes. That is definitely a possibility to take it from Shield Cannon. Also others think about maxing Head Crush, but I don't think that is a good idea truly. The DoT from that is small compared to other classes and I think the points are better spent in other places definitely before getting the extra 20 skill points.
Now if you add in the 20 extra skill points via master level. I would max Aura Armor, Aura Shield and Shield Fortress, but that is just my personal preference. In the game's current state, sadly most of the tanking skills are quite useless. I'm hoping that will change soon. Either way, I guess I'm preparing for it.
