Type of Bug: Skill invocation

Date of First Occurrence: After 2/19 patch I think.

Steps To Reproduce Bug: Rapidly pressing the skill button with unintented consequences

Description:

I think it was around after the patch on 2/19.
Wizards' teleport skill cannot be invoked while the character is moving.

 

Symptoms:
1) When the char is moving, an "out of range" message appears when the teleport button is pressed.
2) By pressing the teleport button rapidly teleport can be invoked
3) However, it appears multiple teleport invocation has been recorded, after the 15s cool down of the skill, teleport is automatically casted without user action.

 

Additional Information:

If the teleport button is pressed slighly faster than once per 0.5s, u can achieve single teleport without the second invocation but it is hard to judge.

After you cast teleport and it goes off use a seal buff or int buff and itll cancel the action for the second teleport. Regardless lts still glitchy with running but that is a simple solution until then

Ic Ayane, phew.. don't know why would it break when all it have to do is stay the same.... now have to cast seals or press slowly... so inconvenient.

 

 

Btw, if any wizzies are reading this, Natia and myself would like to put in a report for this week(homework T_T) for wizzies.

 

If anyone has any feedback, please post here or send a PM. Whichever prefered k?

 

Reports will be sent on weekly basis, so dun need to wreck your brains to come up with everything at the start~

Its input buffering thats why other spells do it as well cast firebolt and fireball and spam the command then stop and itll cast the next spell afterwords Ive tested a few other skills and its the same as well. Which is good cause if it didnt have input buffer then there would be a short delay between each cast however its inconvenient to cast tp and then hit int buff or a seal to cancel the next tp.

I have noticed this bug after they fixed the teleport bug where you go underground when using it. I think this only happens when you use teleport on an inclined/declined floor.

The tentative date I've been told is April 9th but don't hold your breath. About a month ago we were expecting the damage to be fixed however nothing came out of it despite it being listed in the Patch Notes.

I remember that patch, it was a relief to see something in the notes regarding that DoT, but pretty disappointing to see only a change in description.

Well at least I know you guys are gonna stay on top of the issue :) will you be consolidating the points/issues/fixes you will be reporting to Njor here in the forums? Even just a short list of the fixes and balance issues you will be pushing for would be helpful.

Glad to see Teleport work while running, now I dont have to cast it 10 times before it goes and as a bonus I can still tp in certain buildings.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but does teleport sometimes doesn't work and suddenly puts you into a hidden cooldown? I'm having a hard time trying to reproduce it to see if it's a bug or not, since sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Most of the time I noticed it happens when attempting to teleport into an area of lower elevation, but I can't be too sure about it.

Sometimes you cannot teleport when you are moving eventhough it should have been fixed, have you tried stopping to move before teleporting.

 

Yes, sometimes it doesn't have this issue so its kinda unclear what the trigger is.

 

See if you can confirm it happens usually for lower elevation teleporting?

it happens even on flat ground. usually I can teleport while running but lately I always get the 'you cannot move to that place' error.

I found a place in which it happens the most which is near Gilgamesh in Morroc.

When facing this direction, teleport doesn't work and goes on a hidden cooldown. Teleporting from further away from the ledge teleports me right by the ledge it seems. From what I can tell, it might to do with the height difference preventing me from teleporting through at all. It's still rather bothersome that teleport goes on a hidden cooldown though.

Hmm guess I can add, my Wizard can't jump and use teleport again. Its a habit I've never been able to kick >_>. I've mostly just been in Prontera and Osiris dungeon.

True, back in the days I was using my wiz it became my hobby to jump while teleporting. ._. And yes its never been able to be used while jumping now. :(
