For tanking theres 3 sets you can use, Secret ID set, M-C set and C-C set. ID is rally expensive to get. And in the other 2 i suggest mixing them. The bonnus for all parts its not that great, so use M-C parts with hp and C-C parts with mp recovery and youll have the best of each set.

If you want the other mix you can do is earings. ID, M-C or C-C earings dont have hp, only con, so you can use magic dmg jewels (exy or better) for the 2 con per pluss. Also S1 lvl 66 earings are great for the 2% extra black chance each, but very rare.

Too tank theres no doubt, use HP xeons on jewels, the best you can get. Tanks are really expensive to make, but they are really fun too play :P

Talking about DPS jewels for soloing?? Just do the cheapest ones ( i would say reinforced lentus and fowars to have some slots too enchant) and reinforce them as much as you can. Enchant them with phys crit chance if you like. Lets face it, our attack skill sucks (only exeption is low blow)and no single mob will ever kill a prot and we dont have aoes, so why pull more when solo??

So GL reading text wall.
Best of luck, Dess

Tanking : M-C set with HP enchants, highest + and HP enchants you can get. It's what prots were made for.

Soloing : Reinforced physical jewel set, probably with crit xeons. As has been mentioned you won't be attacking more than 1 or 2 at a time anyways.

Party grind without a healer : Reinforced magic set, with crit or HP xeons. If HP doesn't matter, a magic jewel set boosts your heals, MP, and MP recovery. Great for open-map party with defiler, saker etc.

replace m-c or c-c earring with +12 or more reinforced dreamers. its more hp more slots more skillcrit better heals. u can also replace sl bracelet with determined willingness +12. replace sl belt with navy steel +12. soo all u need from sl is rings and necklace...this is ofc post 65 lol. an u dont need reinforced physical jewels as a prot to solo just a giant sword. a prot can solo naked in ws at 60.

i kind of doubt that reinfored dreamer will give more hp than m-c set...also if you dont use item mall it's hard to enchant more than 4 slots

+12 35 con reinforce dreamers ur forgetting 2 con per reinforce...dont assume do the math (27 con *2 (+15 con from wearing 2 of the set)) /2 assuming u make +15 m-c c-c whatever...

2 x 35 = 70 con = 350 hp

6/8 m-c set looses 15con + 60hp from full 8/8 set = 75hp +60hp= 135hp + 230hp (from earring stats) = 365hp

reinf dreamer will give 15 less hp if m-c set only gives 1 additional stat per reinforce, if both jewels are at +12 and i think its easier to make +12 m-c than dreamer

But each +1 gives +1CON with both sets.

Only 2 or 3 jewels gives more HP with reinforce, right?

for bracelets id use +15 lvl 65 ones if u can get them that high. More hp then 2x c-c/m-c after +11 or so if i remember correctly. And if u wana get really fancy get a lvl 70 fire dragons tooth and lvl 68 navys steal belt xD + that stuff up as high as it can go and dump 20,30, or if u can 40 hps in it all
