afaik you loose flee with multiple mobs hitting you.
but do you loose defense if multiple mobs hit you?
if so is it hard def or soft or both.
defense vs flee

im pretty sure you DO lose hard def when you get mobed, damage goes up really quickly if you get attacked by lots of mobs.

i doesnt say so on irowiki about defense lost per number of mobs.
but it states it very clearly for flee.

Do some test drive then.
Bring your highest level char and equip Potted Muka Hat on it.
Provoke tons of Porings and see if you still receive 1 damage from them

i dont think you lose def when get attacked by lots of mobs
we call it Min~Max damage and Critical
by losing your flee, your char will get damage more often and when the monster is triggering the critical, you will get hit higher than average damage
same goes to player when they attack a monster, they will deal some random damage: 300, 370, 280, 410, 320 and so on
and of course damage reduction card works better than hard def status
try the comodo card
tank the mobs (same monster & amount) firstly without, then secondly with comodo card, you will see the difference

Pretty sure he's right. I'm not really sure why it happens, but the more monsters you have attacking you, the more damage they deal till they start attacking for right around their max constantly. Anyone who's done some serious mobbing (and I'm talking like 50+ low level monsters) knows what I'm talking about. Just like he said, you mob a bunch of porings on a max character, and once they start being able to hit you, they'll only be doing 1 damage each hit. Throw on another 30-40, and they'll all be hitting you for about 25-30. It get's pretty nuts. Anyone who really wants to test this easily, just go to the map with all the baby desert wolves and mob them up. You'll see.

I think soft def is lowered in the same way as flee when mobbed. I recall having read that... somewhere.

This is correct. It gets reduced just like flee.

Iro stat calculator has an option of enemies number, from 1~22.
Tested that and the result was: You began to lose soft def and hard def from the 3rd monster, and lost all of them ( become 0 def ) at the 22th monster.

thats why %reduction cards are so important, because that reduction is never lost when mobbing
