So bugged boards should be fixed, but alas the Scarabas are delayed for yet another week.

 

This makes me depressed.

just wanted to confirm, thief bug eggs should be taken off the bounty boards. i went through all the levels of culverts today and was able to complete all three thief bug 150 counts and tarou counts without even managing to break 100 thief bug eggs. this included walking over the entire map on each level all the way down to the lowest one with gtb in it.

no mobs that transform into other mobs should be included imo.

The kill count could just be lowered to 50

IMO they should just have players do test runs of certain maps, and see what the average kill count is for 60 mins. And put that number on the board. Like if you kill 178 thiefbugs and 24 thief bug eggs in an hour, the board should be 175 thiefbug and 25 egg. Not this one size fits all 150 stuff. It should be tailored to making each board suitable to an hour of grinding.

note that this was done with my dragging my lowbie through with my main so i have no idea how long 50 would take on its own. even if you stayed on level 1 you would need to kill everything to force the eggs to respawn and hope you get to them in time before they hatch again.

The eggs are mainly there for non-combatant job classes like full support ABs. If you want their removal, I'll need an alternative monster for them to level on. There's not really much for non-combatant job classes to kill.

Presenting the all-new Undead Shrooms that can only be heal bombed? I rarely get to complete the egg bounties. Although you would need an aoe skill to do well in the culverts. Males attack on sight, the larvae assist.

well and good but the seeing as how they all hatch into thief bugs which the support classes can't kill effectively anyway, it sort of defeats the purpose. even support classes have no problem killing the other monsters already on the boards with just eden gear equipped (hornets, rockers, roda frogs, etc are all super easy). i think you're making them out to be far weaker than they actually are.

the prontera boards from 1-20 already have as many monsters listed as geffen and payon combined; the eggs don't need to be there, especially since exp is not being chunked at the moment (just to give an idea of how much exp is lost, a non-vip char got a full level from 0% in the high 30s/low 40 with the complete turnin for the payon 1-20 boards. nearly 20 levels beyond the expected range! I suspect that even turning in a single 150 count when you're 1-20 results in overflow exp. exp chunking is required)

I have told her about thief egg horrible spawn...but it seems she insists to put in it.... try it the thief egg killings and you will find it out its horrible...

i'm still at 111/150 after a full run through of culverts and a few passes through the hornets field on my way towards completing less annoying boards. and this is with the lowbie in question on autofollow and not doing any actual killing.

the new el dicastes boards have a bunch of issues. first, you cannot turn in old BBs even though other boards allow you to do so. the former el dicastes boards have been changed to 100-140?

the scarabas only go up to 150, which sort of defeats the purpose of implementing these as an option for 150+ leveling.

Yeah, what happen to el dicastes BBoard? taken centipede,larva,dolomedes,tatacho before maint with 142 char now couldn't TI it.


I will bring up the turn-in issue with the iRO team.

The boards were prepared with the 150 level cap in mind. I did not expect for us to get the 160 update, let alone the 175 update so it's going to take some time to change things up since this shafts Phase 1 of the boards' implementation. In the meantime, there's nothing to stop players from simply hunting the monsters without the boards' help.

I don't really understand why they wouldn't add in bounty boards for up to 175, when the 175 update was weeks ago.

 

Plus the el discastes bounty board level span seems a bit too low. Up to 120? When people were using at 140+? Maybe make the 1st el discastes board 101-130/140 instead, and the 2nd board 120-150, so players have a bit more flexibility.

Because nobody expected iRO to get 160 let alone 175 this year, especially not without other instances and other 150++ contents before adding the level cap.

I accepted the bounty boards for naga and cornus long time ago. I finished them today and I could not turn them in since they are now for 101 - 120 players.

 

I could turn in the bounty boards even if I was beyond the required levels before, does anyone know how to resolve my issue? Thanks a lot!

BTW, please save ppl out of bio4 by removing the lvl 150 cap on Scaraba bounty boards or maybe Eclage, Mora bounties in the future.

 

Ppl under 151 can already take the huge advantage of TI's and they can also level relatively easily compared to 150+. The Scaraba bounty makes ppl think they can only lvl in bio4 after 150+ and that's somehow why they are disappointed or outraged.

Should be fine if they add bounty board with the eclage tower mobs. They are balanced in level and you have to hunt in different floors.

Sure, but one problem is that Eclage maps are so small, there might be too crowded.  :heh:
