It's fine to look towards other artists for inspiration and ideas. But please cite the person's work no matter how small and minimal the details are (i.e. the background burst, trace, bangs, and mouth of the character are exactly the same as the left character from bara-chan's artwork.

There's nothing to "forget" when you're using someone elses work and CLAIMING it as your own (before you edited your post)

Like I said, it's fine to use some of her work for your own, just cite it. You can still leave your submission in, but again, give credit to the person you used the background from.
