I am now doing the Ranger job change, and it's pissing me off. Wolf won't hit those eggs and just runs everywhere instead of going for the target >_<

Reminds me of the time I almost totally ragequit the entire quest because of the bombing plants part.

Had to run through island a dozen times at least for the first part...

 

Had to re-do first part like 20 times or more because of failing on other parts...because it just can't put you back where you were...

 

Died a few times on second part, then had to run back through island...with 90% weight many times...

 

Had bombs NOT work at all and just following/attacking me forever without exploding.

 

Oh you never used a mercenary? Here's one, try to figure it out before the test ends. Awww you failed? Back to step one!

 

Hated the whole thing.

The Ranger job change quest part 2 :

I was leg-locked by some plants like Drosera as soon as the bomb was activated. +_+ watched my character count down to death which was very stupid.

So I had to kill some plants that can use Close Confine then went back to the beginning of room to pick up bombs.

 

part 3 :

I had the same problem once. Don't know why my wolf wasn't attacking those eggs.

1. Drosera put me to sleep shortly when i put my bombring.

Ranger test can be frustrating if you handle it recklessly. You have to memorize everything, be fast and careful. Newcomers may find themselves at a tech store buying a new keyboard per failed run.

 

If you get disconnected or log out while waiting for the timers in the gx quest it gets extended by an hour, so it must be a bug. The duration for most of the timers originally was an hour or so before being lowered down to reasonable waiting periods.
