I put in the c ewe for the pumpkins as a suggestion by Myz because it fit the theme + it's no longer bound which provides a nice alternative to the ribbons which act more like a trophy since they're bound and I know people like to sell their prizes. Maybe perhaps the next one I'll use c. bijos instead as top tier prizes.

 

As for the lack of participation it's still really early to expect entries, I was just goofing. I did get one though and I know at least Tigra will be submitting one

 

I think I agree with moving the c. ewe up a tier and giving all participants some small consumable.

if you look at some of the BS entries they have ONE forum post.... ONE.... whats to say they didnt make multiple forum accounts just to submit crap to get these "prizes"... people are trying to manipulate the system... sure there are some really great arts here, some decent stuff, and some not so good stuff but at least those people tried... its kinda insulting that these "mock entries" have even been left to fester on this thread... and even more insulting that people would defend these things...

 

This was my thought too. I only saw one individual with a poor attempt and one post, but I figured it might've been someone trying to con the system and get more than one headgear. I wasn't going to mention it though because I don't want to push any buttons in this thread. As someone who put alot of effort into their artwork though (100+ hours), I would feel a bit disappointed if these no effort (and possibly multiple submission), ones got a wing.

 

But Oda did say everyone gets one, so even if every participant does get one (except for the alt account[s]), I wont really be upset. I trust that whatever Oda chooses to do here though, will be the right decision.

Well here's mine. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to get to do the all detail I wanted to, but this was what I was able to complete with that meddlesome real life taking my time away from this project.

Thanks. I dreamed a bit too big on this one though. 2 character models plus an entire small town in one month was just too tall of an order while managing time in real life. Had to rush the paint job at the end to get it done on time....and for some reason my darn texture maps wouldn't import to photoshop, but I ran out of time to figure out why.

 

 

In an ideal world, I would have been able to complete the scene with more, detailed painting, textures applied (no textures made the trees look super cheesy D:), and lighting that would have made the scene pop. But oh well. Learned my lesson - don't dream so big when projects have such a short time limit.

 

 

With that said, I'm glad this contest is done. I felt like I put almost all my free time into working on this, and I'm glad its over and I can relax -goes to play RO1 finally-.

 

 

 

 

Edit - This thread probably should have been locked at midnight. I see at least one post that was edited today, well after the deadline, and their picture was definitely in ahead of time. Hopefully they don't get disqualified for the post edit.
