On this note, I wanna know how people do ~10 minute faceworm instances. You can only mob up the small ones so fast, and there's so much wasted time waiting for phases to start.

Ask Zayaan or Meli lol, fastest I have done is 20mins solo a friend did 18.5min solo. (no gtb's for us or it would be faster  )

 

I think if you do it with 2 super OP killers in the right positions, like have one run ahead to the miniboss area during dialog and start clearing both ends you could go pretty fast. The record is like 9:45 though, that's just insane.

How do you deal with the poison clouds? I'm assuming as a genetic. That's the only part that gave me trouble as a solo genetic.


This thread hasn't been derailed. It's just taking a short detour through the lesser known parts of town.

Couldn't you just maneuver around the purple quagmire or anodyne + run/speed if you get caught?

 

Best I did for faceworm was 12:50~ with 2 people, can't imagine how to do it any faster. Do people still just spellbreak/bomb the last part or is dragging it around to let the npc weaken it (I think that's what it was) better ? Haven't done it since the week it first came out.

Maneuvering around isn't really an option, since it'll just be used right on top of me, if I'm going solo. The problem has always been getting out. Anodyne isn't enough usually, because of the extra animation delay you get when you use it. And if you use it while moving, you stop in place. I'd usually get caught right in the center of the cloud, where it hitlocks at like 10+ hits per second.

Ya it is very tough to stay out of it on gene, you really just gotta keep moving and always keep him at a distance. If you get stuck, anodyne+seed is usually enough to get out if you're not in the middle. If you get caught in the middle, that won't be a no token run XD.

The green slime bombs gives me effects of trypophobia. If it didn't do that, I would do the instance more, x.x Anodynes really do help, you should also stay in the sides, not the middle.
