i kinda quit cause got bored and cause the 2x exp needed for ml but i kidna wana play again cause more players cause merge but is it realy going bad o.o and id happyly welcome sea players no mater what they have long as they are friendly and atleast speak english to me cause ik nothing else xD and for the ah i cant help there cause i dont remember the old prices so ya not gona buy anythign with ma 3.4k zeny xD

Well all of these hate agaisnt each other posts really wont end if everyone will just jump of the band wagon and blame the opposite party about everything.

To each and everyone of the people who are blaming or pointing fingers at the whole server population ( NA or SEA ) for whats happening. Have you guys met the whole entire population of the origin server to generalize and mark them as crap and bad. Like how a NA player blames all SEA people or a SEA player blames the whole NA playerbase.

Damn. Nobody wants this fiasco im pretty sure, we all have enough crap to deal with already and pouring more gasoline into the fire wont help at all. We are not uncivilized people to point fingers at the whole nation for a crime of an individual or a group, its racism honestly.

The merge was handled very poorly, some actions were not justified. Is it any of the opposite party's fault? Nope. Now everyone should just calm the -_- down and wait ( as usual ) on WP/ Gravity's anouncement on whats happening.

About seeds from SEA server coming, honestly i dont care about those. Whether they bring them here or not. The game's balance is long broken, anymore is just insignificant. As long as the develepors refuse to actually listen to people and not just pretend they do and throw stuff that players didnt really want. Balance will be a myth.

Basically, what is disappointing to me is that it was called a SEA Merge. If it was a true merge, then we should have been able to keep our items unbound. I agree with zenny restriction though as Sea players do have a lot of zenny. Even a poor Sea player may have more money than some Odin players.

Anyways, a true merger should have a loss on both sides not just on one. Most of the concerns from NA side seems to be coming from the rune seeds, then WP should have just wiped all runes from both sides to be fair.

Although, it seems to be good business for them that the runes can be removed and traded. They would make money by selling the rune removers in their kafra shops.

And just like you said, Odin server needs us. So as much as we needed somewhere to go, odin also needs us to increase the population.

There should be no loss on either side, compromise at most. A better scenario would have been to host an even here, prior to the merge, to incorporate some of the items in question into our market.

 

I have always viewed seeds and runes as something for PVP (something I care absolutely nothing about), so it is my opinion that it would have been better to wipe all seeds completely as well, there are some of the NA community that despise seeds, but there are those that rely on them to gain advantages over other players and will argue against it. I can not speak one way or the other about them because I do not own any seeds or runes in any of my gear, so I am inferior in gear. 

 

I like that there are more players, I just wish there was something more to do than grind. I like story line, quest, community involvement, things that get me involved in the game and make me feel as a member of the world (the definition of an RPG). So I will go back to solo farming because I have no quest or friends.

No I don't think you should get anything refunded, I explained how I felt this merge should have happened.  Also, yes I agree it sucks that you guys lost the zeny you were told you could bring over and then it was removed.  Same with the items being deleted afterwards.  Rules should have been laid out clearer ahead of time so problems like this didn't happen.  However my thoughts on the merge, SEA players should have started naked, or they could have restarted the Jump characters to give you a head start.  New Server, New Management, New Game.  The outcome we have right now is when you take 2 incompatible economies and try to push them together.  SEA is mad because they can't bring everything they had and are having items deleted that were not previously in our server.  We are mad because we are seeing more OP seed runes and costumes in game, items we had a harder time getting than you guys did because of the RNG systems on Odin and SEA servers were different.  This is why NA players had some of their friends roll seeds on SEA server before they came over, so they could take advantage of the system.

 

Look, I'm in no way angry at SEA coming, more players the better.  I think the merge was poorly handled.  I think everyone agrees it should have been handled differently.

What is the demand? Rune Removers

Well obviously the prices will go up when theres no supply

What should NA do? LOAD up and buy bulks of RR's

What should SEA do? Make seeds available and do it in a high price

In the end, win=win situation.

The items that snuck into Odin like the cape, were restricted when found and originally going to be deleted on the 20th the same with the seeds they discovered/decided to remove.  However, there was unanticipated down time due to a server crash Heimdallr decided at that time to use the down time to removed the restricted items.

 

You are right, what I wanted wasn't a "merge" because so far everyone seems upset about it.  If there were IP blocks preventing SEA from playing in NA server, those should have been lifted and that should have been it.  Just like when PH players joined us.  It just makes more sense and it's less hassle and a cleaner transition.

 

It is what it is, lets all go to Freyja and start fresh!

im not telling to refund my stuff and im not following this forums enough to know your feelings about this "merge", and lastly SEA players are not complaining because of these restrictions or because they limited our zeny, SEA players are complaining because of the lack of information we are getting from WP about those items that are supposed to be restricted and therefore we are shocked when one day we online normally our stuff is fine and then the other day BOOM gone, those tuxedos and wedding dresses were removed without notice we would have at least saved (at least some of us) the +10 runes there in these costumes if WP would have inform us what items are restricted, the reactions wouldn't be as disturbing and shocking as right now. You dont understand cause u are not in our shoes and we cant understand your feelings either cause we are not in your shoes either so lets get over it shall we?

I'd just managed to login yesterday because of the changed name bug. and i found out that many things has gone. Vanir closed on 9th, but they took the data of 7th as final, that causing alot of my things disappears! AH was closed a week earlier, all items of mine was in returned mail in mailbox until 8th, only on last day i removed and distributed items among accounts, but since they took the data on 7th and initialise and removed all mails in mailbox, all my valueable was gone like that... what are they doing??!!

They leaked the restrictions early and did what they think was necessary to prevent last minute clever work around.

"NA player" is a term widely used by SEA players to describe Odin -or some would prefer- iRO2 player. The term simply means you're playing in North American server. One shouldn't think the term indicate NA server serving exclusively to North American residents, as SEA server was never truly exclusive to South East Asian users as well. 

 

I used to have friends who play from Russia, Korea, and New Zealand in SEA server. If people count them as countries within SEA region I got nothing more to say.
