From this thread in suggestions is the idea to have a PVP map with limited or no consumables. This would force competitors to more carefully manage their health and sp during fights. 

 

Post in this thread what kind of restrictions you would like to see. 

 

There are some logistical hurdles to implementation which could prevent this from working properly. 

 

We are not able to set item restrictions on a map by map basis. In RO, restrictions on what items can be used where is set by map type. Town maps, field maps, dungeon maps, etc. The number of these is limited and many of them are already used for special maps

 

Having an NPC check and reject players with certain items would be more possible, though it would be crucial to block kafra cards as well as consumables

 

We cannot remove effects already placed on players before they enter the PVP room

So foods can't be gotten rid of... but the player can be dispelled by the entry NPC, right? (to remove other things)

 

all hp/sp items should be blocked

Items:
Potions except Green Potion and aspd potions (Concentration, Awakening, Berserk).

Foods.

Self/party buff scrolls from kafra shop.

Skills:
Enchant Deadly Poison (It's not a big deal, but if you don't ban this skill asuratards will QQ about it.)

Man, EDP uses so much sp (100 out of a whopping 512 sp pool), plus no shield, I think ppl will be ok against the sinxs.

No god items or MVP cards. Green potions should be the only consumable allowed.

Could you get rid of foods on entrance? Instant cast is cancer.

A way to limit edp and bombs would be cool , but that's for another time I suppose. And mvp gear isn't as gamebreaking when you can actually die.

Forgot my list:

 

disable everything but:

-green potion

-aspd potions (conc, awa, zerk)

-elemental converters

-cursed water

-box of sunlight (?)

-holy water (?)

-panacea (?)

-20% elemental resist potions (?)

 

last 4 are debatable

I think the only way foods can be removed is to kill the player (correct me if I'm mistaken)

That's the thing. Normal PvP is horrendous since, if you can't 1-shot or lock down to burst, they'll just pot right back up to max. AP 2common. Champs are the worst in this regard since they build tanky but can drop anything without GR instantly. Read the original thread if you haven't yet.

 

I can see why you wouldn't like it though. KS Ninjas need slims after all.

That's nice. Would it be possible to move the npc to a more easily reachable place? Next to the one in south prontera would be ok i guess, I think most people don't even know the room exists.

making multiple pvp rooms sounds like a bad idea, just going to make it harder to get a lot of people into 1 room

good things first: all the potions I've tried don't work. Panaceas work but that's ok as far as I'm concerned.

 

not so good things: it's woe not pvp. Not a huge fan of the map, don't get me wrong I really appreciate the fact you went the extra mile and made one, but the ones we have are good enough and, most important, have a minimap. Minimap is huge. If it did have a minimap and was a little smaller it would probably be ok, I kind of like the big squares in the middle. Still 100x better than fRO custom ones.

 

Please make it pvp, with knockbacks, 100% damage, assumptio, red numbers and everything.
