in your proposed scenario, B missed the registration the first time around.  this could have been due to any number of issues since the sever had been wonky the past week with extra maints, rollback, etc.  The entire reason the GMs are even extending the loyalty event one week is because a lot of people are ticketing in because they missed the first event and it's easier for them to just extend one week instead of answering the myriad of tickets.

 

As a result of this some people will be able to get a loyal homunc S via 3 loyalty adjustments, while EVERYONE should be getting at least two loyalty adjustments which was what was offered in the first place.  Are there even any skills that homunc S cannot unlock until loyal anyway?

 

No, B didn't miss registration (I forgot to mention both registered within the week -- after the server restart to fix the NPC, however B's name was still lost.) This is actually what happened to me. I registered the first week, got missed. Registered again on the second after the restart, still got missed. Some people who fit B's scenario perfectly just might want to have loyal pets and homuns for personal reasons, but might feel left out because of how the "bonus" is really a "duct tape fixes everything" kind of solution to get everyone their intended number of adjustments. It's not really a bonus if it's supposed to make up for the mishaps these past few weeks.

 

Sure Homun S' have no loyalty skills, but the fact that A would get an extra loyalty adjustment over B when both registered on time makes me feel bad about how this is being handled. While I know the GMs are doing us a favor with this event and everyone makes mistakes (their effort is much appreciated), this event could have been handled a lot better if issues and scenarios like these were foreseen and addressed early on.

 

If the intended result of the event was to give everyone two adjustments, then why not just exclude those who have already gotten the two intended adjustments from the third adjustment? Or they could add in a fourth loyalty adjustment but only for those who fit B's scenario. Either would make for a fairer way of handling the event.

Just to clarify, if we already got the first adjustment, do the characters that are already on the list since the first adjustment need to re-register for subsequent adjustments or is it automatic?

If the npc says you are on the list from last time, then you are already on the list. Though for safety measures I would highly recommend speaking to the npc one more time before the next maintenance.

not on classic.  renewal has it since the reduced stat growth from leveling a non-evolved homunc vs. a homunc S past 99 is so punitive as to make the homunculus useless.  Hence the loyalty event allowing alchemists to get their 2nd form homunc to loyal so they will have it ready to turn to S-class when they change into a Genetic.

 

Just going with regular feeding, a player will be a 99/70 biochem long before they will have a loyal first stage homunc, much less a loyal 2nd form.

Unless they are like me, and had a 93 non-loyal, non-evolved Homunc by the time the GEN reaches 150/45(still at job 45, too lazy to get 50, and don't need those skill points).

And good thing I have until the morning of the 12 to get my Homuncs to 99...only another 680% to go on one of them...then to make it into a Homunc S...oh so close. >.<

Accidentally made my vani use self destruct.............am I able to apply for the bonus loyalty event?

You should be fine doing that, since I asked when it was first announced if it mean we could potentially make a loyal Homun S from a non-evolved, non-loyal homunc...and was told it was possible. So your Vani should be loyal again after next maintenance.

It's already been extended once due to a database error...I highly doubt they will be extending a loyalty event because people's lives got busy and they couldn't participate. Crap like that happens all the time.

So I went outside for 4hrs confident I'll hit 99 and be homun S before maintenance and be loyal after maintenance.. only to find out that 1 acct is dead, the other 1 disconnected.

 

1 hr 20mins left.. 55% to goooo

 

 

But still, that was a nice event.
