clragexe.exe - Entry Point Not Found

So this morning when going to play I noticed a small patch, after applying this patch the game errors. As soon as I hit start i get an error box saying

"clragexe.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point defcps.compress could not be located in the dynamic link library cps.dll"

 

I have had a look through the forums and seen people saying I should repatch... I am completely unsure how to do this other then reinstalling. (Which i just did)

 

If somone could help me out either with step by step instructions oh how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

Fixed.

 

I have been informed and have now tested this and it works.

 

Close all RO Clients

Patch Renewal

Click Play Classic

Winning.

  1. Close all RO clients
  2. Open Ragnarok.exe inside gravity\Ragnarok Online folder
  3. Wait until it patches all updates (take some time)
  4. Click Play Classic button

means,, patch ragnarok not classic ragnarok???

Does the problem occur while your security software (for example, Avast or Bitdefender) is temporarily disabled? If not, then you should be able to resolve it by adding the IRO client installation folder to your security software's scanning whitelist.

Edit: I've just noticed that the file cps.dll was recently updated. It's possible that the cause of this problem is the client attempting to load a version of cps.dll that is outdated due to the updater skipping an update. Therefore, anyone who is experiencing the problem should first try reinstalling the updates that were released on 2014/11/5.
