This is a proposal to adjust the max level for all classes, preferably through a quest in order to allow people to stay at 99 for WoE TE if desired, to whatever the highest level cap is at the time. 150 , 160 or 175 going forward. This is not a proposal to add new job levels to any of the existing non 3rd classes or unmodified extended classes. I asked about it in a Tiki Tuesday and it seems like it's possible. Does anyone have any suggestions to add? I'd like to push for this to come along with the 175 update.

 

 

Can you guys increase the level cap for classes that normally get capped at 99 or 150(Not sure if kag/ob get the 160 or 175 extension)? Just add in a quest(can be as hard or easy as you want) to "break" the level cap so people don't just level over if they don't want to. No need for new job levels, just the same stat points/base hp increase as every other level like every other class.

 

It's technically something we can modify here, but that's something that would need to be requested to come from HQ. It's an idea that has been floated before that is actually pretty interesting.

The idea is pretty awesome, I would love if they can do it for Taekwon Kid as well, and if possible, having some modification to the skill damage as most of them are way too low and 100+ monsters have obnoxious HP, if they don't then all I can see TK/TKM doing is being puller in parties.

I think modifying skills might be asking too much to start. Although with level 100+ gear and higher stats the damage might be better anyway. This would also give people that want a challenge a chance to level cap a swordsman or something for fun.

I would love to play a 175 linker even if you didn't get more job levels. Always liked the class but level difference alone with the new updates is a bit too much to be practical if they stay capped at 99 :/

Expanded classes should reach level 175 too ! (they only can reach 160 at kRO),they are a part from this game...

 

btw,would be awesome if temporal boots/faceworm snake skin fit on expanded classes :)

Its basically unplayable without orc heroes because of the 100% chance to stun at full duration from all stunning skills. This would rectify that too

150/160/175 for all class regarding their job.

yes i mean a 175 novice, a 175 gunslinger (not rebel, but a gunslinger), 175 acolyte (aragan will be pretty happy), 175 high thief, 175 tae kwon kid, 175 ninja (kag/obo should be raised to 175 also), 175 unexpanded super novice, 175 knight, 175 sniper, etc. no other skills needed.

yes, i agree that level cap unlocked using quest.

It seems a little too pserverish to me.. and could impact updates from kRO. I'd vote it down for the sake of keeping us in sync with kRO. We need to peel bnack our customizations, not add more.

 

If not for that, I'd be on board, because I doubt it'd upset gameplay or WoE strategy much.

What i meant was that:

kRO stopped (expanded classes) at 160 and that we'll get (them) to 175 when kRO does it.

Why we dont have mvp card for cash ? Why we dont have Shadow Gear SS card/eddga effect ? because its stupid/nonsense,right?
 
So,for most of players expanded classes stopping at 160 is stupid/nonsense.

We will eventually get those shadow gears.

maybe not? i hope not.

 

They can modify things too @@ like the nerf on Hunter traps,iRO didnt put it on main servers.

 

i know is hard,is possible to cause bugs,...

 

but why not ? when kRO will do something for the expanded classes? in my opinion... never... Took 2~4 years for kagerou/rebellion... x_x

This is why I think we need to keep the implementation as simple as possible. Just a single quest to set a flag for max level limit. And then any time there's an update to max level just adjust the level cap for all classes.

So your saying Viri you want it to be similar to this other particular MMO(Which I shall not name because I dont know if it infringes any rules!!) Which players can be way overleveled compared to a quests prerequisite, but upon "activating" the quest, the players level will be sync'ed towards the range allowed from the prerequisite(so say a player is lvl 100 but the quest prerequisite allows up to lvl 25, therefore the players character will "de"-level per say to lvl 25 for the duration of the quest), and skills that are learned above that level range are disabled for the duration of the quest. Once the quest is completed though the players level will revert back to their actual level.

Is this what you mean?

Uh.

 

Pretty sure Viri just means a quest that allows X class to base level past 99, that's it.

Well, if people change their minds and want to change to 3rd class, they should make it to where you can keep the base levels but job levels start at 1. It's a neat idea. :P

pretty sure expandeds can use faceworm items... at least kagerou can... i use the queens leg and the skins say they are for any job and have a required level of 1... unless of course thats a complete mistake...
