maybe mvps aren't included for exp events. A CM can confirm. i know MVPs are exempted from spotlights for example.

Yes I hate the amount of mobs at bio maps atm, freaking lag is atrocious.

Double EXP is in. Initial test conducted on MVP EXP showed that EXP event is not increasing MVP EXP where it did before. This is different than the MVP Reward where it is not affected by EXP/Drop modifiers. This will require a CM confirmation and further GM tests.

Would be helpful if you could recall the date of that EXP event in which it increased MVPs EXP.

Exp events have always increased mvp base/job exp (not the mvp reward, which is fixed exp) afaik. I've only realized that after this maint when my friend killed mvps he said exp wasn't increased even though exp event was up.

I'm confused, so is something wrong now, or have mvp been getting a boost with server increased rates they shouldn't have? You can probably ask anybody that has leveled with bloody branches that exp events have increased the exp you got from them. I could be super crazy though (I haven't done BBs in a few months), but there's a reason people leveled characters using BBs when server exp events were on...

Thats not true Camp, even on the last exp event before the current one, the exp from the MVPs was increased.
I have been mvping all year and i always get 24/7 when an exp event gets in cause It's good exp.

If I remember correctly exp events did increase mvp exp. I don't have screenshots to back up my claims but I could swear we took advantage of such events to level on some mvps and their exp was doubled. Definitely that was sometime after 2012! Unless you mean GMs finally got around fixing it then yeah.

What now? looks like mvp exp has been getting increased from server exp events for years, which you guys didn't seem to know? Appreciate if you could update the new maintenance thread with info about this.

As far as I know, there was only a game announcement by CM Oda at 4:30PM PST stating servers will have to restart quickly to fix a problem with WoE event. Servers went down at 4:32PM and came back few minutes later.
