So I have this tsod I made with sp 6 sp4 (never even seen 6 on one before....)   Trouble is getting it to +10 I have had no luck whatsoever.. With enriched I will use a HD ori, IF it fails I got to enriched back to +9 try again... It has worked probally 6 times now with armor but Im having no luck at all with weapons, Is there a better strategy that you can provide me with or let me know whats worked for you?

buy safe to 10 cert if you want to upgrade it to +10, so it will stay at +9 if the refine failed, don't waste precious enriched ores

According to IlliterateGaming in this thread, you should just create a Mastersmith and upgrade at job level 70.

 

To get back on topic, how many times have you tried? This thread (see "Going from +9->+10") can help you with the math of determining whether Safe to 10 Certificates or Enriched+HD is more cost-effective. Expected success rate to get to +10 (for lvl 4 weapon) is 1/10, but sometimes it feels more like 1/20. Obviously, if you've got infinite cash to spend, Enriched+HD ores are easier to obtain than finding people who are selling Safe to 10 Certificates.

Hate to say that but, the more you spend the higher chance you get.

TSoDs are so cheap that you should use a mastersmith from +9 to +10 with a chance of breaking. That also means you should enchant it AFTER you make it +10. It really is a pain but this ends up saving you tons of money.

+10 Certs are almost never worth it. They might only be worth it if they were worth 30M or something... their prices really make no sense and maybe the community is just too dumb to understand this. Or maybe they just like to upgrade when enriched hammer is NOT around...

In your case you already have it enchanted so all you can do is keep doing what you're doing. Or sell it to someone who doesn't know about using a mastersmith and start from scratch with the mastersmith method.

Yeah unfortunetly its sp 4 / 6 which is a rare enchant and worth alot

This strategy is only beneficial if safe to 10 certs are under 60m. My advise is to use enriched hammer to +9 the gear that you want to +10. Then use Mighty Hammer to +10 the gear with just one HD ore. If it fails, stop and repeat until it succeed.

Enriched Hammer takes enriched ores while Mighty Hammer takes HD ores. Don't mix up the two. Keep in mind that your luck also plays a major role into the cost, so don't take my word s for it. Good luck.

Yah thats what I been doing, Well After about 400 Enriched ores and 5 hd ore I got a +10, Two bradium I had kicking around made it +11....

Aw, man, that hurts - but I had a few similarly disasterous runs. It's higher than average, by a good margin - but mostly because you had horribad luck with enriched hammer - average is like 234 enriched 10 HD or so, assuming you start with a +9, if I recall the numbers correctly.

yeah the enricher doesnt like tsods I think lol
