In Marketplace forum, lots of times I see people opened baseless auctions. Should we have forum rules for auctioning? 

 

An auction thread must also include the following:

1. Starting price.
2. Minimum bid.
3. Auto-sale price. (optional)
4. In-game name.
5. Ending date and time in PST. (This one really grinds my gears. People keep it on forever until they find the offer satisfactory which is not how auctioning works?)
6. Other per-auction requirements set by owner.

 

Also some punishments for people violating the auctioning rules.

some people can set up reserves. in a legal sense a reserve does not need to be disclosed, and if the bid does not meet owner expectations and the reserve then the owner does not have to sell.

I see plenty of selling threads with that rule set by the owner, even if everyone followed your format, doesn't mean sales will happen faster or even go through. You can't force anyone to sell if they end up not seeing a price they want to sell it at.

This would require warpportal(be like ebay) to become active in the market and dish the punishments. I doubt they would ever do that, as it would require more manpower and time than they could afford.
