Something that I've been considering for a while after having hosted a few music days in the iRO RaidCall. Readings will take place in the Music Room channel, though I'm still working out on whether to make this a daily or weekly event. Planning to go through 1-2 chapters per session depending on the length of the chapters.

Obviously, the only books I can read are ones I already own, but if people have novel suggestions for downloadable eBooks, I'm open to that:

Jurassic Park
The Lost World
The Hobbit
The Lord of the Rings (trilogy)
The Chronicles of Narnia
Alien VS Predator trilogy

(Yes, my personal library is rather retarded.)

Also have access to these other books:

The Time Machine
Harry Potter (all 7 books)

Definitely WILL NOT read the following:

Twilight books
50 Shades of Grey books
Fanfiction

So for anyone interested, please vote for a book series for me to read. Readings will begin late June/early July so there's plenty of time for votes.

Since no one voted for a book from the list, I've decided to start off with Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton to go along with the release of Jurassic World in theaters everywhere.

“Crookshanks!” I shouted at him. Voldemort fell of his broom and started to scream. I felt bad for him even though I’m a sadist so I stopped.

 

“Ebony.” he yelled. “Thou must kill Vampire Potter!”

 

I thought about Vampire and his sexah eyes and his gothic black hair and how his face looks just like Joel Madden. I remembered that Draco had said I didn’t understand, so I thought, what if Draco went out with Vampire before I went out with him and they broke up?

 

“No, Voldemort!” I shouted back.

 

Voldemort gave me a gun. “No! Please!” I begged.

 

“Thou must!” he yelled. “If thou does not, then I shall kill thy beloved Draco!”

 

“How did you know?” I asked in a surprised way.

 

Voldemort got a dude-ur-so-retarded look on his face. “I hath telekinesis.” he answered cruelly. “And if you doth not kill Vampire, then thou know what will happen to Draco!” he shouted. Then he flew away angrily on his broomstick.

Oh come on. Fanfiction is a huge drawcard to get more people on your RC and they're great fun, especially when read in groups.

 

If people wanted to listen to readings of popular novels they'd just DL some audiobooks by people who actually know what they're doing ;p

I'm mainly doing this because people wanted to hear my voice and I'm not too inclined to sing freestyle.

1. Don't play coy. Raidcall turns its liveliest when you're around. You might not be the admin, but you're the star there. (No kidding, as soon as she enters madness ensues)

 

2. As I told you before, I have the sound file of your entry to the Sing along contest stored in my harddrive and backed up in the Cloud. It will be available to the world forever and ever and ever....

 

 

Btw....you might want to speed this up...Ayin is sitting at the Music Room....alone....in UTTER SILENCE and is creeping me out. (or he just misclicked trying to enter the AFK Room)

My voice is more likely to get tired when singing than reading out loud. I don't expect a huge crowd of people listening in on this so I'll be more relaxed compared to my Secret Odin event.

Took about an hour to read through the Introduction, Prologue, and the First Iteration. Jurassic Park is an oddly structured book since it's not really divided into discernible chapters so it's kind of hard to figure out where to stop. Probably would just go by time length since reading these first few sections took about an hour.

I think I might do daily readings instead of weekly since it's highly unlikely you guys would be able to remember what happened last reading.
