I am scared too because my 8.1 looks and works just like 7 and I don't want that to change.

I received a notice on my computer, but according to them, it hasn't been released just yet. I could and did reserve the ability to upgrade though when it comes out.

Yes Rose works with Windows 10 and Yes the next version of Windows will be available for free for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 ONLY, not vista and below and not for Windows 8.0 (you need to upgrade to 8.1).
Windows 10 is due at the end of July.

Microsoft stated that applications compatible with Windows 8.1 will be compatible with Windows 10.
I'm using Windows 10 preview with a GeForce GTX 560 and can play Rose with no problem.
Even if Rose itself is compatible, you must check about your graphics card driver. My VGA is legacy, and GeForce series 500 drivers don't have Windows 10 download option (only series 600 and newer).
Fortunately, driver version 350.12 for Windows 8.1 works on Windows 10 for me, but 352.86 does not on Windows 10, so there are some specific drivers that will work for older graphics, like mine.
If you have Nvidia graphics card, I can confirm the drivers will work on series 500 or newer.
