I think i may have found a new type of Scam... These people are evolving i swear...

I can upload some images but i don't feel like editing them without names but basically...

Now this isn't a confirmed scam since i didn't go through with it and i would have loved to help the guy if he was speaking the truth but I'm not risking my account for that reason so I'm posting here so maybe someone to see if anyone else have done this for future warning

 

 

-The guy first asks you to vote for his fanpage so he can win $1000

This is where i got fishy about the deal...

-If you vote he offers you 50m+10x Bmx3

-Asked him to trade so i can confirm he didn't just start on the server and wanted to hack people with no risks..

-He did have 1b+ Zeny but i still couldn't trust it since he could have got that from scamming people or something

-I visited the link to see what it looked like *i can't believe i went this far* i tried some backup googling to see if the link is familiar to someone but nothing popped up

-It was a german google mail page that asked for email and password this is where i stopped...

-I then told him i was at the site and logged in to my email... which i didn't

-But then he repeated that i needed to go to the site and put in my info... this is where i then told myself it has to be a scam or else he wouldn't know whether or not i did log in

-i told him once more i already did

-he then asked for my email to confirm

I mean this one was kind of obvious but i can't believe such a scammer has survived this long to accumulate that much zeny >.<

btw his name is still visible on the top of the convo. obviously he's a scammer but you should still edit that out.

Yep it's a scam. This guy (not sure if it is the same person as above) asked me to vote in his fanpage, so I just replied " sure, zeny first though." and then he said "thank you for your time." and stopped bugging me.

 

by the way, OP... you edited the names inside the 1:1 chat out, but the name on top of the 1:1 chat window is still visible (With blah blah blah).

btw his name is still visible on the top of the convo. obviously he's a scammer but you should still edit that out.

I'm just surprised i haven't seen a post about this yet... although i don't use the forums too much only market section and archer section

Curiousity was killing me XD but i just had to play along in his game i could tell he was mad because after all of it i went up to his chat and told him

"i voted but i don't want your zeny"

"i think you will win :)"

 

He told me there is no vote and kicked me out of his chat then blocked me so i can't PM him :/

Uhg somehow op Missed the 763326 threads about this, the red note on the patcher that says don't vote on a fansite, and the gm broadcasts every so many minutes in-game that says gms don't ask for users/passwords, or the gramps text that says the same as mentioned.

What are we doing wrong that people arent getting the memo???????

I had the idea to write something into the game that popped up an annoying big as day red message when you login or change maps about "scammers and you" but some how I don't think it will help.
