Hi all. I just want to confirm which is the correct description for the said weapon.

According to db.irowiki:

• Increases physical damage against [Demi-Human] race targets by 70%.
• Increases critical attack damage by 20%

 

According to divine pride:

Physical Attack Strength to Demihuman monsters +70%. 
Critical Attack to Demihuman monsters +20%. 

Finally, the description from the KVM npc says Critical Attack to Demihuman monsters +20%.  

From the different katar discussions, I was under the impression that the crit dmg bonus applied to all enemy types.

work on all race. but not really worth it. Get GBR if you can.

Thanks for the clarification.

Is the 20% crit dmg bonus really negligible? The general consensus is GBR > Jam because of the def bypass but is it still the case if I don't really plan to pvp in the near future?

basically, gj has no real place in end game build.

woe/pvp> GBr is better than Gj. This also applied to crit if you have high crit mod (which you should have) or the enemy has high def (which they should have).

Mvp against demihuman> refer to woe/pvp.

Mvp against non demihuman> 2Ak Chakram or AK thanaKatar will produce better damage. And you will want to get your hand on them if you are serious about mvp-ing.

PvM>you will want to use ThanaKatar for RC-ing.

GJ is more of a mid tier weapon which give you decent crit%mod and free 193proc. But for end game, there are better weapon. 
The problem is, Gj is pricey and do you really want to spend your zeny for an item that you might dont use in end game plus the fact that you cant resell it?
