Hi I'd I'd like to know if which of these two will give me the best damage for crit (ctrl click).

 

I read somewhere that EDP on renewal will no longer give 400% final damage output but increases your wep attack by x5 and eq attack by x4

 

Chakram has a very low attack power but the 2 slot is tempting plus the capability to be enchanted with Fighting Spirit combined with Assassin Handcuffs +30% crit damage.

 

Thanatos Katar has a great advantage over Chakram on attack power but with only 1 slot and a wep level 4.

 

 

Does weapon with higher attack power is more viable option than the additional % damage for ctrl clicking with EDP?

At their best (+12, Perfect Enchants, AK cards), Chakram wins in CTRL-Clicking. Thanatos Katar wins at skills though (CI, RC, CRS). I'd recommend getting both eventually :v Chakram is the costiest of the two, so maybe start with a Thanatos Katar carded for your needs. AK is super cool for RC'ing MVP's. When you get some money, try buying an enchanted Chakram or try luck enchanting yourself. It's easier to upgrade, though, being level 3. FS or ASPD are the best ones, even Sharp.

In terms of critting, the [Chakram combo +1 Bako] gives better DPS agains the [Thana Katar +2 Bakos].

I tested both setups with 120agi builds and 120luk builds, with their respective Temp Boots. 

 

If you have to choose a single Katar, either Chakram or Thana, i`d definitely go with the Thana since the RC during Dark Claw duration is simple stupid DMG.

You're not RC'ing MVP's with Agi Up, that's a fact XD It's for MVP's without or low HP ones.

Yeah, with ALL the buffs, 200% weakness (or more if Venom Impress applies), Dark Claw and Eddga Proc add SO much damage. ~35k is the minimum against 150% weaknesses, around 50k for 200% weaknesses without Dark Claw.

that was actually just my dmg when fighting fenrir, it can be a lot better against a more optimal element, like earth or fire, she being ghost2 doesnt help much in terms of dmg, but being demihuman definitelly does :U

Well, yeah :v I guess it's between STR+3 or ASPD+10%

 

Unless you have the accessory combo, but since you're using Sin Cuffs, it's not happening. :v Also, if you're using Sin Cuff, you're probably Ctrl-Clicking, so I'd suppose ASPD is better.

well i dont need the aspd from bako to reach 193 even with only crit gears, so rwc ring with gold scaraba is better in terms of damage. still preffer a meg tho

Yeah, Aunoe in Thana seems a bad idea. Better use a CHakram for serious Katar-Crits

aunoe is more versatile. AK is for mvps only.
some people ctrl attack normal mobs like those passive scaraba. some cloak and kill one specific mob like when hunting black rosaries or kk cards, ect..
when fighting bosses AK wins.

it is my opinion that aunoe cards are virtually always a waste in a chakram. the only monsters you really need to ctrl click crit are mvps, and for that purpose abysmal knight cards are far better. everything else you can kill pretty damn fast with dark claw + skills.
