claiming to be a GM is one of the most cliche ways to scam people in games.

Judging by how many gullible people keep falling for this, it seems to work well enough.

Why is that information available to begin with, this is retarded as -_-, but HEY DONT POST IMAGES OF BOTTERS ON THE FORUMS!!!, WE CARE TOO MUCH FOR THEIR "PRIVACY", yet all the legit players information is just there to anyone who wants to see it, RETARDED AS -_-.

sorry but 1 out of like 200 people doesn't seem to be working well enough for me
unless he AOEs multiple people at once with fast rate of attack maybe it'll proc better.
but he looks like a ctrl auto attacker to me.

about 4 hrs ago i was on skype with him not to mention i'd been on skype with him ever since 12am this morning. a few hrs ago he said he was going to rest. So I took that opportunity to reset my pass. also got rid of skype since i dont use at all.  He sure tried hard with me.

Not to offend you guys but you both are ignoring the HUGE elefant on the room, why is the information of players, legit players, available to see online just like that?

lol did you just realize ropd exists? you can claim your accounts and hide your chars if you wish. otherwise it's out there for everyone to see.

A scam is only a failure if it doesn't work on anyone at all. As long as there's always a sucker, the scam is successful.

no idea thats just how rpod is. so i assume a random ragial bot runs around keeping track of random players around prontera.
but then again the information on characters are outdated most of the time anyways. such as character level etc..
i personally use it to find sellers or buyers. sometimes i get a whisper on my throwaway character for an offer on an item and to find that that character is offline.
so i would look up his ROPD and find his alternative characters and try message his other character to see if he/she is on those.
the weird thing is i don't know how they keep track of all of a player's characters in one account.

and don't call them suckers, they're just not well informed.

lol some other poster also got scammed for almost $1,000 after a skype chat, and even got teamviewer installed on their pc so scammer could steal his info

I guess you don't do Turn In, right? Gramps states very clear that GM will never ask for infos via SKYPE. And since you have to answer the question by choosing the right answer, I think there is little chance that you are not aware of this information.

Well, at least you got your account back. Consider this a lesson.

they can't, unless you claim the separate accounts. then it's obviously all registered to the same person.

as far as how they can tell chars belong to the same account:
