Hey people. I'm a new player who just started Ragnarok Online. After hearing about a "certain" game that was dubbed to be the spiritual successor to Ragnarok from other people I just had to try this game. So, here I am now and I already made a thief. Still not sure which tree to go, assasin or rogue but I'm pretty sure I'll have a lot of time before I need to worry about that but what I'm worrying about at this moment is....where do I go to level? At level 5 where do I go and how do I start making money for myself? When I started earlier I was killing pink puddings and bunnies and they gave me a decent amount of of skill experience point but I can't seem to level up any faster now. It would be great if some experienced players or new players alike who can help me along or something. Give me pointers of where to level and possibly more advanced mechanics to this game? Links? Wiki? In-game help? Anything. If possible leave your in-game name through private message or out in the open and I'll try to reach you if you're available and don't mind helping out a new player.

Wow nice! Thanks ZeroTigress the wiki was quite helpful and they actually had a leveling spot page, making money tips, and a detailed page of the classes-oh and also the build. And I guess the divine-pride one is a database? Yes, and it also has monster locations...nice~*actually checking out the links as I respond*. Oh skill calculator as well. You know I guess the community in this game seems to be quite lively more than I expected because some games don't even have the much information on them. They don't work on database or wiki for information, that's actually pretty cool. I think this will do and thanks for the scammer link. I could've been one of those smart ones who got scammed. Now I know the trick~

 

Update, actually I don't see the location of the monsters in the database haha. Maybe I just can't find the button for it or something.

Update, actually I don't see the location of the monsters in the database haha. Maybe I just can't find the button for it or something.

Click on the Spawn tab in the monster's data page and it'll show you all the maps it spawns on.

My suggestion is that you level through the Bounty Board Missions. These quests grants you a huge EXP and also zenys (the RO money). The Payon town Bounty Boards are just a few steps west of the Kafra Employee (the NPC that provides Teleport and Storage service). If you finish all of them and get all the rewards at once, you will earn 150k in zeny and also an Eden Merit Badge. Later you will exchange these badges for items like Magical Stone (for 8 badges), which is worth 5 million zenys! Yes, that's huge.

Oh, and for equipment you should check the iROWiki page of the Eden Group Equipment Quests. These gears will help you a lot in your overall levelling, since they are obtainable for free through quests (that includes defensive gears AND weapons).

Just saw your post and man.....I was killing things accordingly to the map level but I didn't know they had bounties..that's awesome. Thanks for informing me. Really appreciate it.
