Coming in October! This year, we are breaking away from the traditional USRC formula to try something new! Instead of having a tournament in June and having everything happen on the same day we are splitting the preliminary and finals portion of the tournament.

Sakray is open for getting geared up and we will have private testing rooms (based on the PIN numbers team leaders use to register) available when we have teams registered.

To register a team go to this site: registration site here

and enter this information

Spoiler

Who

Team of 7-no doubles of any class

Level 135/50

For equipment we are basing this off of previous years' USRC item and card lists, so we won't be having shadow items, temporal gear or newer items for this tournament.

Where

Sakray Server-create a new character on Sakray (we can only give rewards to the actual account participating at the time of the tournament)

When

Our tournament dates:

We are doing 2 qualifying tournaments for players so that players in time zones we don't usually hit are able to participate. The final Halloween Havoc tournament will be held at the normal USRC morning time

October 17: Fall Brawl Qualifying (Morning) Single Elimination 10am Server time

October 24:  Fall Brawl Qualifying (Evening) Single Elimination 6pm Server Time

October 31: Halloween Havoc: USRC Finals Double Elimination 10am Server Time

Prizes will be announced soon, since we will be doing these more than once per year we will need to adjust what kind of prizes are available.

Rules are based on last USRC from last year, but we are listening for feedback from combatants if they think that changes should be introduced:

Spoiler

Interfering with another team's practice or match will result in a disqualification from being able to compete in this tournament. Repeat offenses will result in a disqualification from all future tournaments.

Use of third party programs by any team member during the tournament will result in a suspension and instant disqualification for the entire team.

Is dragon breath post 175 update or pre175 update and is the .2 second delay in or out?

And what is the job lvl? 35 still?

Also are the new skills to be utilized or is everything post 175?

It would be a good idea to collect feedback before these things are announced.

This is going to cause a multitude of problems.

Renewal only again? Great. I'll be over on the dying server full of veteran PvPers that you seem to love ignoring.

For reference, the 2015 RJC also used mechanics and skills from the level cap expansion update. They banned most of the new skills like No Limits, Dark Claw, Lux Anima etc, and the level cap for all classes was set to 160/60.

Also omfg the art assets on that landing page are the exact things I asked you for in the new fansite kit. Why weren't those provided?

Please offer suggestions, this is the first of what we want to have as a (at least) quarterly PVP tournament so we're open to changes to reflect RO in 2015.

Stop living in the past.

WoE or PvP mechanics?
While id prefer a higher level for suicidal destruction damage i'll have to do some testing.

Should be interesting, but i do invision Sac'd sura's with sorc's/priest offensively safety walling.
It's a shame wont be many crit exceed/crushing strikers :'(

WoE. The reductions and cast interruption are all but a requirement for "balanced" PvP in this game.

Like Kali mentioned, last years mechanics and lvl set are probably the most balanced.

I'm sure you guys could pull it off on Sakray, right?

135/50 seems fine by me as it limits skills & stats making it more challenging.

Yes, that would not be difficult to replicate.

As far as equipment and skills from USRC past is everyone comfortable with keeping it the same as before or do you want to see newer items and skills excluded or included?

For people who have participated before, what would you like to see to have the tournament operate more smoothly? Is 7 minutes too long? Should maps be the same size as the ones we used for USRC or should they be redesigned to make them more enjoyable to fight on or scaled down so the teams are able to find each other to fight right away?

Smaller maps are better. The turtling and choke point precasting nonsense on large maps was not fun.

Simple maps also don't give teams a tactical advantage for knowing the strange intricacies from practicing years prior.

The focus should be on the fight itself, not about knowing which cells can be cast over, or which paths snake around to where.

A good example of an unfun map is that usrc snow map. I like the straightforward practice maps, on the other hand.

The equipment and skills I think should be the same as they were before.
Maybe expand into the current state next year since everyone will have had more than enough time to adjust.
It may be still a bit unbalanced.

Like Itachi said, smaller maps encourage people not to turtle and it makes it more fun for the people watching also.

My I suggest to just do a RWC style tournament? like characters will be provided to all who will join the tournament  135/50 preferred Job, Zeny to buy Equips cards and supplies. This way we know that all are balance. No high upgrade weapon or armors.

That's the way it is. Everyone is on a fair level, you don't use your own equipment.
