this is nothing. somehow the youtube link embedded on the patcher fail to load or something. maybe because your Flash player is not updated to latest update.

I am getting that too, tried flash player update and java update but didn't help . Can still run the game fine though it just the patcher screen.

Uninstall all versions of java and reinstall latest java.

That is a javacript error caused by components/jar files of java not being registered properly with the OS or IE, likely

^{btw, Win10 here. I disabled/turn off Windows Features: IE 11 since I upgrade to Win10. Should I turn it on again?}

If the error abruptly began occurring without you making any changes to your computer, then the problem probably lies with the web page loaded by the updater, not your computer.

 

By the way, despite their similar names, Java and JavaScript are two entirely different things.

That's weird that some people get it and some don't. I don't get it on Windows 7.

 

Are you using IE 11 also? I run IE 10.

ie 11 or ie 10 guys.

One of y'all on win 7 try downgrading to ie10 and see if ie11 is the cause.
