Located at the very end of Battlegrounds atrium, a new arena is opened for adventurers of Midgard to challenge the courageous elite brothers. These brothers are heavily trained enough to beat the previous champion of the courageous arena. Until now, no adventurers are still able to defeat these brothers due to their special abilities that no adventurer can do and thus retaining there courage, braveness and pride to the title they have earned for long time. Even the guards and referees are scared to them. Thats why the courageous brothers are challenging adventurers to test their strength if their courageous enough to defeat them.
How to get there?
The courageous arena is located at the opposite exit of the battlegrounds entrance. To go there, talk to Maroll to warp you to battlegrounds entrance then walk to the northeast side of the battlegrounds then talk to the courage arena guard NPC to make the instance. To make the instance, a courageous entrance key is required. Courageous keys can be bought at KVM logistics for 2,000,000,000 zeny.*
*The reason of being expensive is that due to the special blessed ores that are required to refine God Items are almost impossible to obtain hence its very high prices.
Courageous Entrance Key
An very valuable key that is used to open the gates of the Courageous Arena.
Weight: 30
Courageous Arena Guard NPC
Instance Requirements:
Minimum Base Level is 160
12 people are strictly required to initiate the battle
NO REPEATING CLASSES - the Courageous Arena discourages class discrimination and thus, this is implemented.
One Courageous Instance Key is needed to open the Courageous Arena.
Time Limit: 90 minutes
Instance Cooldown: 70 hours
Anti-cheat features:
The Courageous Guard NPC will enlist all registered players and their class upon entering the arena. Once all 12 members entered the arena, the Courageous Arena Referee will check all members if they are of different classes and then pass the names to the Courage Arena Guard. This is to prevent repeating classes and other players that were not in party before the arena starts from coming in. Players who entered the arena will be given a cooldown in their quest logs to prevent them from coming again should they disconnect (Cooldown only applies if the battle is initiated). Cooldown time is 70 hours. In case an exploit is taking in place inside the arena, the Courageous Arena Referee will step in and stop the battle, then all of the members will be expelled out of the arena and the arena key will not be refunded as a punishment for cheating.
Courageous Arena Referee
The Battle Arena:
The Courageous Arena has around 4x the size of KVM arena, this is due to the Courageous Elite Brothers' devastating moves. With the arena so huge, your team can plan ahead of tackling these brothers effectively.
In addition, to the huge arena. There are also 4 NPCs in the northwest side of the arena. These NPCs can provide access to storage, Breeder NPC (for Ferus/Gryphon), and Madogear Master (for Mechanic). Use of this service costs 1,000,000z per storage use and 100,000z per rental of dragon and madogear. Primo d'Buffer will also appear as well, giving +7 to all stats for VIP
The Battle:
The Courageous Elite Brothers contain 6 members: Archbishop, Ranger, Warlock, Mechanic, Rune Knight and Guillotine Cross. These brothers cannot be underestimated because each brother has their own passive skills as well as exclusive skills that no adventurer has ever learned. They can even execute skills that break through skill level caps. These brothers hit extremely hard as well. With this combination, they can able to execute adventurers in a few hits. Only the best skill combination, strategy and best gears will work to defeat all six of them.
The Courageous Elite Brothers and their info:
All of them are level 190, demihuman race, neutral 1 element, aggressive and boss type. The brothers also have red aura surrounding them, similar to level 175 yellow aura from players.
All of their skills cannot be interrupted. Skills in blue names indicate that these skills have no cast time.
All brothers can use Lv 1 Call Reinforcement (similar to Guild skill Urgent Call) should they split apart by each other for over 20 cells only if one of them is being attacked for at least 15 seconds

The God Item Refinement System uses a different upgrade system than common refinement system. Due to the God Items different structure, it cannot be refined using Elunium, Oridecon, Bradium, and Carnium. Be it regular, enriched or HD versions. The Courageous Elite forgers have managed to refine God Items using their special hammer and ores that are blessed by the Gods of Rune Midgard where no other forgers have it. These forgers are happy enough to refine adventurers' God Items in return for Courageous Arena Prestige, which can be obtain after claiming the rewards from the Courageous Arena Referee only if adventurers manage to defeat the fearsome Courageous Elite Brothers. The forgers however are worried about that due to the nature and careful refining of God Items, it becomes heavier the higher the refinement level it goes. These hammers are so special that the God Item never fails on refinement which makes adventurers trust them. Due to the forgers tough work on refining these items, adventurer should be expected to pay them for high price.
How to refine God Items?
Upon entering the Battlegrounds Atrium, you will find the NPC "Courageous Elite Forger". These forgers can only refine Megingjard, Brisinggamen, Mjölnir, Sleipnir, Asprika, Brynhild, Hervor Alvitr and Ganbantein. Hervor and Jormungand cannot be refined because these items are too unstable to refine. Ephemeral versions cannot be refined as well because it can easily crumble to dust. The Courageous Arena Forger does not refine God Items that don't belong to you. Refining God Items will cost [1000*(Current Refine Level+1)] Courageous Arena Prestige and [10,000,000*(Current Refine Level+1)] zeny. The success rate of refining is always 100%. Refining these God Items only give additional bonuses, however, please bear in mind that as you refine these God Items, its weight will also increase. While i do like the general idea, here are some concerns:
- You'll have to balance the DEF/MDEF ratio of these mobs. MDEF has a way harsher damage reduction than DEF, and the overall DEF/MDEF ratio of these mobs should be so all classes (magic vs physical) are useful.
You have two 1000+ MDEF mobs, where are the 4000+ DEF mobs to balance it out?
-The way you wrote it you FIRST pay the billion zeny and THEN the npcs will check if your class slot is already taken.
I think that's kinda stupid. Imagine paying a billion zeny but then you find out you cant enter the match because there is someone else with the same class.
-You wrote the Warlock bypasses all damage reductions, which would include racial reductions, elemental reductions and skill reductions. That means the warlock with his 14k MATK and 700 int would
--one-shot everyone even with basic lv 10 fire bolts (which would deal 140k unreducible damage).
--deal about 4.5m damage (640k damage per wave) with his Psychic Wave in a 11x11 area
-Personally, i'm not a big fan of the idea of god item pieces dropping. There are already enough god items on the server.
Having pieces for items that are alternatives for god items drop would be quite better. Or some other incentive.
-While i do like the idea of an very expensive entry key, since it will work against zeny inflation, i have to wonder
--if people would actually pay 1b zeny to enter this arena, where it's most likely they'd get 1-shotted immediately by the warlock. I haven't looked at the recent god item piece prices, but would YOU pay 1b zeny to enter an arena which is almost impossible to survive in order to get a single random god item piece, which might not even be the one you need?
--In addition to that, this is an instance that most likely only 0.01% of the entire server population will ever be able to afford to enter on a regular basis (i doubt many people have 1b+ zeny income every 3 days), so i'm not sure if such a thing would be even worth the time for the developers.
--What happens in case of disconnect or lag? Say goodbye to 1b zeny?

About the reward: Due to the might of these brothers, everyone should expect that it should come with giant rewards as well. God Item Pieces is just one of the incentive as these pieces can range from 100 million to 3 billion zeny, according to market price. The most important price is the Courageous Arena Prestige, the prestige is not actually an item, it serves as 'score' just like KVM points.
About the fight. These brothers are supposed to be a bit tougher than Biolab Nightmare MVP boss with the only difference that each brother can perform passive skills, skills that no adventurer has ever learned and skills that break through skill level caps.
About the stats and skills of the brothers: Warlock brother is supposed to have a bit higher MDEF than other brother since it is expected that the Warlock is wearing cloth armor which is suitable for magician class branch. However he is vulnerable to melee and ranged physical attacks.
Lexus the Warlock isn't supposed to use Lv 10 Psychic Wave since he didn't master enough to learn that skill at higher levels.
Lexus' 3rd job skills has longer cast time than his other skills making it easier for the challenging team to evade his deadly spells.
