Hi. I checked the shields and it seems to narrow down to two options.

 

Valk Shield

Stone Buckler.

 

I only made enough zeny for an Alice, and I don't want to screw putting it on the wrong shield. Any info on which is the best shield? Thanks!

Valk shield.

Immune Shield is a good choice too.

 

Stone buckler' is  too heavy.

Anything else might as well be wasting the card.

Thorny Buckler[1] is not a bad choice also, to have reflect with a bison horn equiped

-Valk Shield: General MVP'ing, all around most versatile choice. 

-+9~+12 Immune Shield: Some MVP's deal only heavy neutral damage or have insane ATK, so the neutral resistance is super useful.

-Thorny Buckler: For tanking Sura's and certain hipster builds :v

 

Valk shield would be the best starting choice :3

Strong Shield is useful sometimes too, if you do not have access to a Bryn or a RSX Card. Some field MVPs knock you back and then teleport (nasty nasty Mistress...)
But it is not good for reduction purposes. Better stick to a Valk for now.
